HI all,

I'm feeling better, thanks. At least I can walk again, just in time for the cruise, yay.

DS got in last night :thumbsup2 We are going to do Thanksgiving at home this year, but tomorrow, since DD is leaving for Europe Thursday morning. It will be pretty simple, a 10 lb. butterball, stuffing, chicken flavored rice, potatoes, and candied yams. That's all they want :confused3 OK, fine with me.

In case I'm not able to get on here over the next few days, hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Nabbie - The cold is coming your way! Brrr. Glad I'm heading south :)

Marita - Glad to hear you're feeling better! Have a fabulous time on your cruise and enjoy your time with your son. I'm looking forward to spending a few days with Mari :goodvibes

Moo, I guessed I missed you were going to see Mari, duh! Have a great time!

I'm on vacation now, YAY! 12 glorious days of not going to the office. :goodvibes

Tomorrow I need to find some time to get some mace or pepper spray for Nicole to carry around in Europe, just in case. 2 26 year olds trapsing around nightclubs by themselves and staying in youth hostels, not exactly giving me the warm and fuzzies  Nothing like waiting till the last minute to get that done

the mace would have to go in her checked luggage though Marita.....A lady that does the morning broadcast on the TV had to throw hers away because it was in her purse....so just saying.

Today is my Friday...and I can regroup myself and get the food on the way....alot of stuff to do and think about for tomorrow....I will do the vegetarian gravy today, plus cut up and possible cook that thing that hubby likes......Rutabaga....and maybe cook the carrots so they will be ready....will do the potatoes and brocolli and corn and squash.......

waiting for ava to come and then my fun begins.....dil and granddaughter came yesterday with a bucket of toys for ava's age to play with here......the stuff I have was boring.....so we will play kitchen today again....and she loves it..we cooked all afternoon yesterday..
if I dont get to see you all.....Please have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving with friends and relatives.....and Marita ....have a blast on that boat.:woohoo:

Hello.

peeking in to see how EVERYONE is doing.

This semester is coming to an end. One of the busiest but most informative thus far. Love it! I just have to get throught the next 2 weeks and I can have a short break.

Have a wonderful time on your cruise Marita.

Moo I'm loving the Spartans record.

Nab the weather has been so nice, but I think we are in for it this winter, just a feeling I have.

I saw a Lynda from the loser thread is on her way moving to FL. I missed the news on that one.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. I am cooking too Pumba! Mal has Nutcracker again on Saturday.

I usually have 2 kids here, today I have 7????? Crazy!

Thinking of you all.

Oh! I applied for a scholarship a while back. I got an email I forgot to include something and they are allowing me time to get it in to them. I hope that means I am being considered. Cross fingers for me.

happy thanksgiving to all my friends here!!!!

hope you enjoy it with all your family and friends!

Marita-- are you packed yet? You leave tomorrow right?

Moo-- hope your got Mari safely and get back home safe too.

I'm sure if I lived over there I would be out shopping with the rest of the crazy people. Well maybe not. Lots of Canadians heading that way since our dollar is so good lately.

It poured buckets here last night. They were calling for a dusting over night. Glad I didn't wake up to a foot of snow for if all the rain was snow we would be in big trouble. It can snow after today. Hubby is getting my snow tires on as we speak.

Went to see Tangled last night. Loved this show. By the commericals I thought it was cute but it is really funny. Much better then the Princess and the Frog.

Hi all,

Well, we had a quit day yesterday after dropping DD off at the airport early. I had great plans to clean the house (again), my nothing (again). Maybe today.
I need to find a bathing suit STAT. But today is Black Friday, I really don't want to venture out and fight the crowds  But I want one for the canteleevered hot tub that jets out 12' over the edge of the ship. And maybe I'll try the flowrider (yeah, right!)
Nab, I'm not packed yet, we don't leave till Sunday morning, so plenty of time. I spent yesterday studying the menus on the ship and other things. I'm not too thrilled about the dinner choices, but I think it'll be ok.

Have a great day!

Marita -- I thought you would leave tomorrow. Are you gone a week? Must have been hard to see Nicole off

I got a lot done today. My Christmas shopping is almost done. Just have hubby's side and that is only three people so I will leave that in his hands. Actually got his mom something already so he just has his dad and brother.

Need to get some more Christmas stuff up around here. The kids have been bugging me to put up the big tree downstairs. Need to clean first, they have stuff everywhere down there.

Nabbie - Yes, we arrived safely in North Carolina and have been enjoying our visit. We met Mari's boyfriend's family and had Thanksgiving dinner with them yesterday. They were very nice! Mostly shopped and ate today :)

Marita - Have a wonderful cruise! Hope you are able to find a new suit.

Moo, meeting the BFs family? Sounds like it might be getting serious?????
Glad it went well. I still mourn after DD's old BF of a year that she graduated with, he is now in law school and I loved his family, sobbbb! Unfortunately, he moved away for school and broke things off.

Nab, we'll be gone for 4 nights, so back around noon on Thursday. DD called after landing in Paris last night, she said there was snow on the ground. But I doubt it was much, it's only around 33F there.

Accomplishements for today:
Haircolor bought: check!
Hair colored: nope
House cleaned: nope
Laundry done: nope
Swimsuit bought: nada
Packing done: see laundry note above

My track record remains intact! :lmao:

I am so excited for your cruise Marita........this will be good for you to get away and MAYBE relax........why not buy a swim suit on the boat...or ship whatever it is called.....
Glad that your dd got to Paris ....and super glad that she called..

When I lifted the turkey pan from the kitchen table to the oven.....I had to stuff it so hubby put it in the big pan on the table..well I pulled the muscle in my back....feels like someone put a knife thru it...I put the turkey into the oven and then later in the afternoon took that dang turkey out of the oven and put on the sideboard to get the stuffing out...and then hubby cuts it up.........took tylenol but not working yet....

I am having breakfast at the computer and Megara slept in this morning.actually I got up read the newspaper and made my coffee before i woke up the dog......YES.

If I dont see you again Marita.......have a great time.....

Marita-- I'm sure you will get all the important things done in time. Glad Nicole got to her first destination safe.

Pumba-- sorry to hear about your back. Hope it feels better.

Moo-- I am with Marita how exciting to meet the parents. They are such a cute couple together. How long now have them been dating?

We are getting out first snow this morning. It is just a dusting right now barely covering the grass but it is still coming down lightly. Hannah was excited. The other one still isn't out of bed so he doesn't know yet. But I am sure he will get up see it and coming running down stairs to say guess what Mom it is snowing look outside. Even though I already know.....

Well off to do :laundy:

Marita-- are you making any head way?

I'm trying to clean my family room and get it in order so I can decorate for Christmas...stuff has to go in the basement so I end up cleaning down there, not finishing upstairs. And don't even get me started what ended up on my kitchen counter. :sad2: Going in circles I tell you and I don't have one room done yet.

Well that isn't true , Nicholas is grounded from games and he decided he was going to play anyway this morning because he was bored. The kids bathroom is nice and clean now, shower even scrubbed real nice I told him he do that or he starts his grounding all over again.

Break over....down to the basement I go again.

we didnt have another turkey leftover day so we went to the Chinese Restaurant.....yummy.....I had clams and hubby had crab legs and all the fixings too.....I love chicken and brocolli and pot stickers with ginger sauce....my favorite..and they have the best fried rice....I may be awake tonight cause I had two or so cups of chinese tea......oh well........
tomorrow is boating day for you Marita......have a blast ...

Nab I dont miss the days of grounding.......its been a long time...our first born is 41 today.....I cant believe it.....and our god daughter (his birthday present when he was one) turned 40 today.....we are so blessed with having two great kids.....

Marita have a great trip, relax , read a book. Enjoy your son's company !!!

Pumba -- sounds yummy. Happy Birthday to your son. My hubby says we will wish for these times again when they are grown up and gone. Well not the bad parts but just seeing them everyday. Unless they are back living in the basement....but that is not going to happen. :upsidedow

Finally got the family room all decorated. Well a few more touchs it will look great. Have to dig some more in the boxes but I am not willing to do that tonight. I have a miss in the rec room as it is with stuff pulled out.

Going to sit on my butt and watch TV for the rest of the night.

Marita-- hope your on your way or on the boat by now. :goodvibes

Just got back from Church. It is the first week of advent so they let families go in the church hall and make advent wreaths. Everything is supplied. They did this last year too but we didnt' make it. Hannah loved decorating it. Not as pretty as the ones some of the parents did but I love it because she did it. It was suppose to be a family thing. I hate when parents tell the kids what colour to colour something too or do crafts that are meant for the kids to do and they pretty well do it all.

Well off to clean up my kitchen then down to see if I can get tree number two up or should I say three. The one in the family room is one meant to be outside in a pot like thing , it came with lights already on it and I add stuff to that. Just the right size for the corner. And I have a smaller one (three feet maybe) on a table by the front window in the living room done in gold ordnaments and ribbon.

Grrr. I had a long post written a while ago and it wouldn't post :(

Mari and David have been dating since February - they do seem pretty serious. His family seems to like Mari as much as we like David. Mari has an interview for a job close to where David lives next week. Please send up some good thoughts and prayers for her on Tuesday.

Nabbie - Hope Nicholas has settled down! We drove a little ways home tonight and will drive about 11 hours tomorrow. Not looking forward to those colder temps at home!

Marita - I know what you mean about break ups, but I can see now that Mari's previous boyfriend wasn't well suited for her.

Pumba - Hope your back is feeling better!

Well frosty here this morning but the weather man says it is going to go up to double digits again and rain. :confused3

Found out I need new front brakes on my car when they changed the snow tires. They didn't have time then so it goes in on Wed. Now I am scared to drive any distance but I really didn't notice anything either so I am sure they are fine, if they weren't I am sure they would have let me drive the car home right.

I should go in the basement and put all my empty Christmas boxes away. I really need thrree smaller totes out now. that are the stuff for the tree.

Really tired today, catching a cold too. Lost my voice. The kids think it is really funny. Nicholas asked me why I am whispering when I woke him up this morning.

Nabbie - My vote is for laying on the couch! Hope you feel better soon.

We're on our way home. Trying to make it back in time to spring our pups from the boarding place.
