DD is flying Washington, DC in May to meet the actor again!

Just went to the store and got ingredients for the peach-cinnamon-sour creak in yellow cake mix cake. Not sure I will actually make it tonight though. After going to bed at 1, waking up at 3, going back to bed at 6:30 and waking up at 10 again, my body is dragging. Naptime, I think!

I made the 2 heads of cauliflower hubby bought a couple or 3 days ago, they had to be cooked before they went bad. The alarm rang while I was the phone with IT about a problem, and hubby was in the kitchen. so I asked him to turn off the water.
Did he? NOOO! So now I have a lot of mushy cauliflower, but oh well, still edible.

Marita - Mash it up like mashed potatoes and add a dab of horshradish. Yummy! I make it that way a lot. Guilt free mashed potatoes. lol.

Chad is working today, so no beach. But I had a back-up plan incase he had to work. lol. Dad is watching all the boys and Ellie and I are going to a bridal shower for a girl at church. I made deviled eggs using my little bitty eggs from my chickens. LOL!

They had asked Chad to work this week, Sunday through Thursday 8pm-4:30AM. It would have paid 10% more per hour, but thankfully they called it off(for now). It's a 5 month long job and it would be a huge adjustment for us, but if it does happen at least we need the extra money. lol.

Yesterday my sister also noticed that I was losing weight.

Well since Twinkie won't post pics of her little Princess, I will post some of mine.

From yesterday at the shower. The bride-to-be's sister is away teaching and couldn't get back for the shower. But she was able to be there via webcam. How cool is that? She also came to my baby shower that way. LOL.

Ellie and Mercedes visited with her for a bit.

Today is SUnday April 11th....yikes it sure goes fast for our weekends.....Tomorrow we head to NH to attend a funeral for my sil's mother....SO we are going to take the new car...first road trip for it. It has close to 200 miles now on it......He took it to the Toyota place and had the recalled work done on it....we were not concerned with it because we were only going to use the car for trips and summer traveling.....

Brian got us up early and made breakfast meat (aka turkey bacon) eggs, and coffee and I made the toast.....he is wicked good doing this.

Our eggs this morning were the dark dark yolks ....I love those. The Easter Egg Chicken (blue shells) are my favorite too.....I dont mind paying 2.50 for a dozen eggs, because first off they are free range chickens and she doesnt feed them artificial hormones for growth......gotta love FRESH.

I just finished getting my taxes ready to mail. Total damage: $889, UGHH!!! I really need to increase my weekly deduction.

Also just put my load of whites back on in the washer. I did it last Sunday, then forgot about it. Next day (or 2 days later?) I remembered nand rewashed it. Then I forgot about it again

So now is the third wash!!! I better not forget about it today, since I need to wash work clothes...

My weekend was so busy but loved it. The kids are really tired today too. Two parties in one weekend it is crazy. I am getting to old for that.
Guess it didn't help that we stayed out really late for the first one on Saturday.

My grand neice turned one. She was so cute but she cried when anyone wanted to pick her up. Only her mother could hold her and my brother ( grandpa). My nephew and godson turned 30 so they had a combined party. So much fun rolled into one weekend and my family in one spot to visit with was the best part.

Our trip is officially within the 45 day window. Woot!

The AC seems to be working properly now. So I got him to hold off on having the guy come and check it because that would cost around $100, just to check the freon levels.

And

We just got a bill from the library for $70. Jeremiah lost a Boxcar Children book and when I returned all the others I talked to the lady and told her it was gone, what do we do now. She said it would go into lost books after it reached $5 or $10(can't remember) in late fees. Then I would just have to replace the book for what it cost. I could buy the entire freaking series of Boxcar Children books for $70. I'm done with the library. That's a freaking joke. The kicker is the threat that if it's not paid IN FULL in 10 days they will send it to collections.

We are having library problems here too. Nicholas requested a wii game it came in so I thought I would go get it for him , I have his card no problem. Well when I get there it is a teen game. No problem I know the game I will use my card since he can't. The lady says no it will have to go back in the system because it was under his card , you have to use his( but of course it won't go though he is too young). Ok then . Well someone else requested it so I can't have it either, it is on hold for next person on the list which isn't me. Why let him request it in the first place.

Also requested books two weeks, they didn't put them aside for him so some other kid took them out so we have to wait another two weeks for them. He wants me to just go buy the books.

That was my vent for the day.

The sun is shining. I got my errands done for the day. Going to make hubby BBQ for supper all is good.

I think I will go out sit in the sun and read book I was allowed to take out.

FYI The really awesome library in Shawnee County, KS has no late fees. And a 100 book/10 CD/2 DVD/2 video game per library card at a time limit. Also you can get a library card when you are born and if you get one before you are one you get free board books. Sigh. There are some nice things about the prairie.


I don't have time to post but I do read here and I saw that remark about my lack of princess pictures MP. Don't worry- my mother is on my case as well.

The child has a beautiful smile but I am unable to capture it. All I have is a series of her looking confused, screaming, and of course the infamous baby shot of the back of her head as she turns away from the scary flash. Every day I think "today I will go outside and get good pictures" but alas it hasn't happened. And the 100 tulips my DH planted for me are blooming right now. That would be a great background.

Grasshopper (who still looks like Isaac!) is such a big boy (and handsome like his big bro)! And the Princess! Oh, how I'd like to have a nibble of those cheeks! You should give up genetic mutation and procreate as a full-time job.

With 89 days until our trip (not that I'm counting....heh ), I am in full-on planning mode. Also, since I'm trying to pay cash for this entire trip without delving into our household money or regular weekly income, I am juggling about umpty-seven listings on Half.com and Amazon. So far, I've brought in quite a tidy sum by selling off the flotsam and jetsam we've had stored around the Lalijack house: videos & dvd's we no longer watch, CD's we've already uploaded to iTunes, unused/little-used toys and video games, etc. It's remarkable what people will pay for our castoffs.


Also, it's Spring (FINALLY!), which is when our school system's thoughts turn to field trips, standardized testing, and drawn-out projects. Feh.


Gotta get back to my housework....but y'all behave!

Nothing much to report here, same old, same old. Except funny little story at work today. Boss arrange a conference call to announce a guy leaving. So we are all finally on the line, boss lauches into his speach about hpow we will about miss him and about great contributions this guy will make in his new job with his prior experience, and aks "How long were you at such and such job, Tim? Tim? Tim??? Tim??????????"
The line he and his boss were on was somehow disconnected, so he missed the great speach dedicated to him. We finally got them both back on the line, but of course it wasn't quite the same. But we got a good laugh out of it.

Where is MOO?????????? 3 days missing now, I'm getting worried!

Hi, Lynette! You certainly do sound busy Goog luck with your on-line sales. Wish I had a WDW trip in the works, but I'm glad to be counting down for our Hilton Head trip. It's looking like Mari's boyfriend may be joining us for that, so it should make for a different sort of vacation.

I have to cancel the reservation I made to board the dogs at a new place (that my hubby had a cow over). Guess they won't be having DE-luxe accommodations after all. They'll be staying at a different place that we've used before that's half the cost.

Marita - Sorry to worry you! Just wasn't in the mood to post lately. Your DD is quite the jetsetter flying off again to see a boy!

Nabbie - I was bummed to see Drea go tonight, but it was cool that she won that car!!!!! I thought she was looking pretty good when they showed how she looks now. And it was cool to see her teaching a spin class. I missed the part with Danny, but hubby recorded it for me.

morning all..
Sun is out but the temps are COLD.......so we can put on a jacket and be happy.....last night went to walmart and got some travel stuff....like deodorant, hair spray and toothpaste......will put those in ziplock baggies in our luggage......that way they wont leak .......will think about getting some new footies next week..forgot about them last night.....got rid of the ones that seem like they were made for BIGGER FEET......I like the snug ones...
SO after we get out of walmart I said to dh...if it wasnt so dang cold I would like an ice cream ......so he takes me to the diary joy and there are a zillion people getting their fix too...now its 44 out and hubby turns on the heater in the truck and we eat our ice cream cone.....IT WAS HUGE.
Today is Wed and dil and gd will be here after dance for the munchkin.....her birthday is Sunday and I can hardly wait for her to open her card..it is a singing one with Aurora her favorite princess and it sings "once upon a dream"...she will be happy as a little piggy...she will like her gift too I am sure but this card is the ultimate..... (she better like it hahahha)
