It's a beautiful sunny day here in Southwest Florida. Later the humidity increasing clouds are rolling in and we'll be reaching a balmy 85 degrees. Great if you live on the beach. Not so much inland without a pool.

Pray for jobs! My dad isn't reviving the pool this year unless he gets a job. Doesn't he know I moved 2 blocks away for that dang pool? hehe

WT - Thank you for your excellent advice. I am sorry that the picture was taken at such a distance. There wasn't exactely anyone around to ask them to take our picture so we had to do the old set it up and run to get in it.

Sadly we actually came home from the drump with a treasure. LOL!

Nab - Puberty times 5 is going to be so much fun! I hope the good Lord returns before then.

Wendy - Hope weigh day goes well! Lose some for me, okay?

We're headed off to the Florida Highway Patrol today to get some $20 carseats! Yahoo! We are in serious need of carseats for the kids and there is no way we can afford 3 carseats at the store. Ethan's is a dumpster picked booster we found. It was in better condition than his old one. That's sad. lol

We also need to pick up a new phone because a Mother of 5 cannot be tied down to a 5 ft. long cord phone. I can never get anything done and we keep going over our cell minutes.

A trip to the free video store(library) is also in the plans. All without any children! Yeehaw!!!!!!!!

I am loving my newly(yesterday) screened front entry. More light and breeze is grrreat!

M/P: It's OK. I brought my camera and tripod so we could take a picture of the dump and our trash in it. Don't let me forget to post these little beauties on the Disboards for all my internet friends to enjoy. They LOVE looking at pictures of trash.

M/P: Chad, you go set the timer. We will stand riiiiiight HERE. Exactly 3/4s of a mile away. So, when you set the timer set it for 8 minutes which will give you exactly enough time to run out HERE, 3/4s of a mile away, to stand with us before the camera automatically takes the picture.

Now. No offense M/P. I am nearly positive that you are the cutest thing to hit the Disboards since Peeps. However, I must take issue with our esteemed colleague and one half of the Twin Towers of the English Language, Windy. I fully understand that it is an unwritten and maybe even written rule that whenever a fellow Disser posts a pic of themselves or their children you are REQUIRED to immediately post about how cute they look in said pic. However, even within these boundaries YOUR comment strained the limits of credibility. The picture was taken approximately 3/4s of a mile away from the camera rendering Mommy P (and the others pictured) roughly the size of a squirrel. This alone made it impossible to tell whether she was cute or not. Moreover, she was wearing black sunglasses covering 90% of her face making it even more difficult to determine her cuteness or lack thereof. In the future I would suggest alternative comments conforming to the unwritten Diser Code. For example:

"Look at how cute Mommy P's bright pink shirt is. I think it matches her bed spread."

or

"Those glasses on your face are soooo cute. I must know where you purchased them. They are glasses aren't they?"

if you don't need the drug!..than don't take it! how high..can you get, by
your..own accomplishements? do you really need a drug..to feel good
about yourself..or to feel better?..kno this, your chances for recovery,
is dependant on your ability to think for yourself..once that is gone,
& others..must meet your physcial needs....think, what type of life style
that is..or just ask..britany s.?

for themselves..so how good are they..toward others? you be shocked!

WT - I'll have you know that Chad and his "friend" didn't unload that trailer by themselves. We all did and that was my Mom and Brother. And I didn't take a tri-pod, we set the camera on the edge of the trailer, you can even see a bit of it on the corner of the picture. We saved a lot of money doing it ourselves and it was only mildly life threatning driving up that huge hill of trash in our V-8 2 wheel drive not made for pulling a rusting trailer full of trash truck. Especially the part where the bull dozer was about 4 feet from us bull dozering over other people's trash, encroaching on our space.

I have already been thinking of great things to misplace for my next set of pictures.

We got a new phone today, it's a GE with a built in Goog 411 button. I just HAD to have it because it has a button that says, "goog". LOL!!!!!

We are also the proud owners of 3 new carseats, that aren't stained, threadbare, or expired. All for $30. Thank googness for the FHP. Also, we learned new things about putting carseats in. Who knew we HAD been doing it all the hard and wrong way.

Now it's raining and humid, but boy is it goog for our newly laid sod.

New sod. I remember that back breaking work a few years ago. I ended up being the placer and cutter. Not the ones who heft it and take it to the place to lay it. Oh my back was aching after that. Good thing I had a HUGE garden tub to relax in after that.

In this state we have to use car booster seats till age 8. Which is great since they have drink holders. $10. is a great deal! We get great deals on bike helmets at a local attorney office, Robert J. DeBry on the back of every phone book here.

Last day of Spring Break.....

I took them grocery shopping today to get out of the house and away from the video games. It was a good math class for them. I made them add up what we put in the cart and remember how much we were at....that part was for me, bad memory. It actually opened Nicholas eyes on how much food really cost and I can't just load the cart with anything. He was amazed how little you get for $50.00. I told him he just spent his allowance on a game last night for that much.

It is actually mild out today too but no sun, how did the ground hog taste Lil'g.

Evening. I did read back. Honestly. Yet I don't have any clever witty remarks or appropriate statements. I think my brain is done. I've been studying for my teacher certification test since 2:00. Oh, I do have a thought to contribute! Celery, if you're in the mood to do any stalking, my parents and little sister are in Nashville tonight. They're on their way to our condo for Spring Break and they stopped in Nashville because they're going to tour a college my sister is looking at in the morning. I forget which school though so you'll have to use some stalking skills to find them.

Yes, Moo! After a solid week of searching and much deliberation, we finally decided on a 12-week old, black cocker spaniel puppy. He is coming to us on a flight from Missouri early tomorrow afternoon. So the general mood around these parts looks something like this:


After supper tonight, we went to PetCo and bought all necessary puppy accoutrements (cha-ching!). After a detour to Coldstone Creamery (yum!), we came home and debated puppy names (still no final decision).

I'll keep you posted on our name progress, and I'll have pics once he's home tomorrow.


I'm sure BBN is enjoying herself. I hope her seats are close enough to Michael that she can make googly eyes at him!



The countdown favored by L's is actually GAC, since PJ doesn't get CMT in the hotT college chick ghetto apartment (her words, not mine). We had a bit of a tradition going there, and then SHE had to go messing it up! Harumph!


Going back to take my next turn. Maybe we WILL get a whole game in tonight!

After a solid week of searching and much deliberation, we finally decided on a 12-week old, black cocker spaniel puppy. He is coming to us on a flight from Missouri early tomorrow afternoon.

All of my menfolk are watching Saving Private Ryan. I am sure it a good movie but as a mother of three sons I am not interested in any movie about boys and war.
