Hello, Moovers. Sorry I disappeared! I can't remember the last time I was so sick I couldn't even get out of bed. YUCK!! I have now had a fever for 4 straight days.   Everyone around here has the flu. I'm getting a little grumpy. I just wanted to check in though and let everyone know I'm still alive, I have to go crawl back into my bed. Hope everyone else is doing well!

He is smiling a lot now.

Today with his new little cousin, Little John.

My sister went to the hospital around 11:30, they broke her water at 11:40 and Little John was born at 3:03. She only pushed for 45 minutes to an hour and he was born "sunny side up". She did great pushing a "sunny side up" FIRST baby out! I am so proud of her. At one point the midwife talked her into some drugs to "take the edge off" (yeah right, more like dope up your baby and make you sick feeling) but when she left we all talked to her about what she had said she wanted and what was best for Little John and she decided to hold off. That was at 7CM. She was complete less than an hour later.

I got home around 6:30ish and went promptly to bed, after pumping. Isaac stayed home wtih Chad since he was sleeping and he slept through the night. He was just up feeding him when I got home. I got 3 hours of sleep before we had to start our day. I am sooooooooooo tired.

Up next: Pictures of the house!

PJ, sorry you've been so  Glad you're finally feeling a tad better. I perceived a hotT update too! :dance3:

Auntie Amanda!!! Glad your sis's labor went OK.

Those photos are great! That first shower pic is precious. Thanks for sharing them.

Chad didn't get into the sheriff's department program. I am not handling it well. They told him that he would be contacted soon about a polygraph, instead he got a letter saying he wasn't accepted.

Hi PJ - I hope you feel better soon. My family had the flu in January and it is the pits!!!

Here is some pixie dust pixiedust:(pixie dust helps make everything better):)

Mommy P-- Love all the pictures. The outside colours really are different up close then the far away ones. The closer ones are lighter. Your master bedroom colour is close to mine. Mine might be a tiny bit darker. What colour is the dining room? I like that one. Sorry about Chad, funny they would tell him one thing and then send that letter.

Congratulations on being an Aunt too!! Johnny looks pretty tiny.

Isaac is so cute!! Love the smile.

Celery--:yay: On getting internet.

P.J.-- Hope you get better soon.

I was sick yesterday but feel fine today.

Marita-- Prayers for you mom and that all goes will tomorrow.

Moo-- it was snowing here all day. It is pretty slushie outside right now , which will freeze over night and make the roads a mess for tomorrow. Then another storm coming our way for Sunday/Monday.

Hi Joe :wave2:

Amanda, so sorry to hear that Chad didn't make it into the program :grouphug: Your house looks awesome. My DD's bedroom is painted that green color too (maybe a little brighter). It looks great with her black IKEA furniture and accessories.

Nabbie, you've been sick too? I went to Target last night and stocked up on Airborne and also bought some of that EnergenC stuff last night. It has Vitamin C with other vitamins and minerals that makes a fizzy drink when you mix it with water. I got the tangerine flavor and it tastes pretty goog. I've been trying to keep my immunity up this winter and have only had one cold (knock on wood).

PJ: Sorry you are so sick. Keep drinking lots of fluids and resting, you should be making the turn for the better.

Nab: Glad your illness was short lived.

Amanda: Great pics of the house. Congrats on becoming and aunt and how great that you were there for the birth.

Moo: DH took some of that airshield and it made his urine turn red. Not kidding we were all crazy until we figured out what happened.

I can't believe how much laundry lives here. It's unending!

Wow, that sounds scary, Mony. Was it the actual Airborne or a store brand? I haven't had any problems taking the zesty orange flavor. In fact, I think it helps me feel better overall due to the vitamins.

That's why I decided to try the EmergenC when I'm not taking the Airborne.

Thanks again everyone about my mom.

MommyP, about Chad, I know how you must feel.
Loved the pictures of the babies and the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PJ, glad you are feeling better

I had an unexpected turn of events today. I went to return the pressure cooker, the girl didn't even blink an eye or checked, seems like she had this happen before. They even gave my money back in cash, even though I charged it. So I picked up a few things, including a different pressure cooker (they did not even have the other brand on the shelf anymore one week later). Checked the parts, all seems fine so far.
So I proceeded to the nail salon almost next door, a long wait. The owner says come back in an hour.

So I went home, changed back into my house lounge clothes, come out to the living room and DH says "Oh, we (him and DS) are going out for dinner with DD and her BF and his parents and some cousins. Do you want to go?:scared1:

Well, YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DUH!!!!!!!!!! We never met them before.
When are you leaving?
15 minutes
Grrrr.
So I changed clothes, put on some makeup, putlled back hair to look halfway presentable for potential future in-laws. Anyway, we had a very nice dinner at Carrabals, an italian place, sort of upscale but not too much. 4 adults (well' old adults), and 10 20 something kids.
Very nice people, I could see them coming to my Christmas eve party LOL.
Just wish I had gotten nails done and hair colored first, but I guess there is no where to go but up now. :rolleyes1

I am glad it was short lived too. I had a fever and didn't want to get out of bed, slept all day and night. Hubby came home to get the kids from school and watch them. He had his test in the morning so he was able to come home at lunch.

Mony-- here you on the laundry thing.

We did Hannah's first confession thing today. It was kind of cute since they really don't have any major sins. They don't have to do it now, sometime between now and grade 8 when they have confirmation they should. We just got it out of the way. But they were prepared this year to do it too.

They had the church done up for a wedding this afternoon, it was beautiful they had white tree branches in pots with glitter and stuff, it was a winter wonderland. Yucky day for a wedding though. I figured they did it today because it was the closest Saturday to Valentine's Day.

Oh I forgot to mention, besides it turning out to be Meet the Fockers day, as I was waiting to turn on the road from the nail place (where I got no nails done), a guy pulls next to me and points and mouths "flat tire"!
It was not totally flat at the time, I made it home ok. But I just went outside, and it is now flat as a pancake! Oh JOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Marita, I love eating at Carraba's. In fact, because DH went to dinner with a friend last night, I picked up takeout from there for myself last night. I like the grilled shrimp and scallops and their house salad. LOLing about your meet the Fockers comment :lmao: Too bad you didn't have a little more notice. Flat tires SUCK!

Nabbie, that sounds like really pretty decorations for a wedding. Glad you were feeling better today so you could be there to see Hannah.

Oh no Marita, will your hubby change it for you or do you have AAA ?

I've only had one flat in my life time and it was when I was married to my first DH and he worked for CAA so I just had to call him to my rescue.

DH said he would try to blow it up tomorrow for me to take to firestone, but we do have AAA. Personally, I vote for AAA as th #1 choice. ( dont know what the $ diffence is for the tire though)

Dang, I am going to have to go to a new nail place tomorrow that is open on sunday, nails are just getting too long for typing, Beuerk! (provided I have a car to get me there!)

its me....
long day here in Maine....first took care of our two youngest grandkids so they could do some major moving stuff to the storage unit and throwing stuff to the dump.....they are preparing to put their house on the market......so had 3 year old gs and 1 year old gd.......can I say POOPED>......then college granddaughter came over and messed around with them for a while....then those kids left and we went to birthday Wii party....didnt play the wii but we had plenty of fun...so we ate and enjoyed the company and then one of the relatives that came ...came in and announced that her car had a major dent in the door...some one hit it and then left.....so the MEN of the party figured out it had to be the guy next door......and he came in his driveway and backed out and went in again......cop came and said nope not his denting machine.......then the girl (who has a 500 deducatable ) goes out to leave AGAIN and comes in and says.....three teenagers said that the green van did it.....same house different floor but same family...yippee so the cops are called again and they come back and found the right vehicle......I am so glad that the girl didnt have to pay the first five hundred bucks to have her car fixed.....it was a major dent ...both side doors...Some times teens are giving a bad rap...but these three stuck around and told the police officier that they saw the green van do it and then go back into her yard...

anyhow.....I have a cold in my head.......I cant take medications cause of my medications that I take......I have high BP and also have diabetes...and gluacoma....so not a heck of alot I can take......asked the doctor last time I had my visit and he said nothing....just ride it out.......

two years ago I had the flu for a whole week and was sicker then a dog...well if dogs get sick.....so I managed to lose the ten pounds that time.......I think that is the only way I can lose is to be sick again...I try so hard to lose and I do my daily exercises.......nope not a darn pound.....

hope those who are sick .feel better.....those who have relatives hurting or sick ..feel better and I am sorry that Chad didnt get his position......but something else is around the corner for him......hold on tight.

Pumba, sounds like a fun but exhausting day! Take a load off and relax.

I should do a load of dishes, and I will as soon as Trading spaces is over.

But I confess, I am not very motivated :confused3

What a day, Marie! Can you take Airborne? It has some herbal stuff in it plus vitamins. Maybe you can check with your doctor sometime. It sounds like Monica's hubby didn't do too well with it, but I have several coworkers who also swear by it. Since you have rugrats over on a fairly regular basis, it might help your immunity.

Sorry to hear about the dented car door. Glad they sorted out the culprit.

There is absolutlely nothing on TV but old Seinfelf reruns at 11!
