I certainly am NOT a hotT college chick :lmao: , but am online, and did enjoy your pic. (your quite handsome RobIn), and your mini freezing B'ball TR.

Sorry you got busted for "borrowing" those seats, but they were good! :cool2: Well, worth "borrowing".

Nice new scoreboard, but what happens when the left fielder has to jump up and catch a fly ball? Hope that doesn't mess with the electronics of that nice scoreboard. :confused3

Great price for the game, I'll say. :thumbsup2 You done good Rob!

Sorry your team didn't win, but you did get to see fireworks, and that always makes it worth it. :goodvibes

Now for the biggie-

RobIn- Hubba Hubba :rolleyes1

Your youngest with his freckles is the cutest thing I've ever seen. I could just squeeze his little face :rotfl:

Glad you got to see fire works!!! I always think, "well it's not as good as Disney, but it'll do"

Don't poof until Melinda sees or she'll holler.
1. Thanks Wendee! ;)
2. Hmmm, I didn't think that but it's true. I have seen some really good shows at Kauffman though, not as good as Disney, but amazingly good for a small market team that does it every Friday. I failed to mention this in my report but it was kind of funny -- this was the first fireworks show of the new season and I don't think they shot the fireworks up high enough -- the new video board is taller than the old scoreboard and I don't think the extra height was fully taken into account for the fireworks launch. I'm sure they'll get it worked out though. (I guess it's also possible that it was because the air was damp and it was about 31 degrees out by that time.)
3. If Melinda missed it, I'll be glad to PM it to her. :thumbsup2

Hey, I gave myself a facial today too. Before that was a 2 step chemical peel that burned like a mutherhummer, but I look 11 years younger! :cutie:

OK, Wendee and Lexi, you DO have to share your product secrets. PLEASE????? :worship: :worship: :worship:

I only have tomorrow to shop for them and apply.

1. Thanks Allie!

2. Hmmm, hadn't thought of it from that viewpoint. I assume you mean the "out of town" scoreboard. DS12 asked what would happen to the fielder if he crashed into it (the rest of the outfield wall is visibly padded). I'm going to take a closer look next time but I think that board has some "give" to it for the protection of the player.

I have Stardust from Netflix. Has anybody seen it?
Lex - I have! I have!!! I really enjoyed seeing Michelle Pfeiffer looking like an old crone :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

And Robert DeNiro's character is a hoot :goodvibes Generally, I'd give it about a :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 (out of 4).

And we got to stand in long lines so I could close my eyes and pretend I was at WDW. ;)
If only, Twink!

I personally used to prefer the school pancake night type carnivals. Mainly because I occasionally enjoy having breakfast for dinner (brinner?)!!!

Marita, yay on DD finding a steal of a graduation dress :dance3: Since my DD's ceremony is in the evening and she wants to get together with friends that night, I told her we should just plan to go out for brunch that morning and have dinner the next day. Since the Triangle area will be super busy with people in town for graduation at Duke as well as UNC, she is thinking we should probably eat in a nearby suburb. I'm SO glad I got hotel reservations early.

ROB!!! Glad to finally "meet" you and your sons!!! Their freckles are very cute. And the fact that they're all decked out! I actually also enjoyed seeing your baseball photos. Kiss Cam :rotfl:

Glad I got to see you before you poofed too. What an inexpensive "boys night out"!

For the ladies: Johnny Depp alert! My hubby is watching Sweeney Todd tonight. I'm trying to decide if I want to watch it later. For now, I'm just watching occasionally with the sound OFF. I did watch The Chipmunks with him earlier . . .

3. If Melinda missed it, I'll be glad to PM it to her. :thumbsup2

I think there is a 99.9999995% chance that Melinda was in bed already.

Oh, that fireworks comment reminded me. A few weeks ago they did fireworks here at sports stadium. and some of them hit the audience. 30 some people got burned, some badly, but nobody died.

1. Thanks Allie!

Yep, I meant the out of town one. Hope it wouldn't hurt the player. :confused3 It is nice to have it, but if it isn't protected, I could see it getting smashed in a close play. :rolleyes1

My DH and DS used to go to the Thrashers hockey games in Atlanta, and they had Kiss Cam too. It was funny until they would have two overweight redneck guys. :sad2: Like you said, some things are not meant to be on the Jumbo screen.

With the sound on or off? :upsidedow

1. Oh, well that's different. Sleeping? You snooze, you lose.
2. Ouch Marita! When I was a young lad, on a family vacation to Texas, at either Astroworld or Six-Flags over Texas (don't remember which), a "spinner" pinwheel-type firework came loose and spun into the crowd.

Nice pics RobIn. Glad you didn't back down in the face of the triple dog dare. Even if you had to hack someone's photobucket from your high end salon in Tokyo. Or your mama's basement. ;)

I just can't believe the cheapo prizes from the home made games are broken already. :confused3 Was there a cake walk. I love cake walks.
Yes there was a cake walk but I couldn't convince either twinkie-twin to play. :confused3 They didn't want to waste their tickets on the cake walk OR the pop toss. They wanted to jump in the moon bounce or play knock-off Dance Dance Revoluion. This is more evidence for my fat brain vs. skinny brain theory.

:rotfl: Goldenchild just came downstairs after being put "down" an hour ago. He wanted to know if we were going to eat cookies tomorrow!:rotfl: (The adults may be baking cookies right now our late night snack:rolleyes1 )

Yes, PM Melinda the picture! I don't want to listen to her finger wagging all day if you don't. Oh, this sentence is for BFF

Twinkie- a cookie date? GUESS who made cookies together earlier tonight too? Here's a hint ME and dh. Geez, tonight must be BORG night. Except I didn't eat even one. That fact is making me all super human like, I think.

Moo- I don't know if that's a movie I want to see. Ok, YES I do, but when the kids are asleep with the lights out and I'm snuggled under a blanket (peeking through my fingers) and NO smarty-pants yelling BOO at the right moment :scared1:

Yeah not fair I missed the picture....

Your kids are cute with all those freckles.

I got the ceilings painted, still no colour. Maybe tomorrow.

Twinkie -- two funny. We always save the best treats for when the kids go to bed too. Actually hurried them along so we could eat them. We are so bad.

So word on the street is that Rob is not a complete troll. I'll have to use my imagination, I guess.

I actually was in bed for about a nanosecond. Or maybe it was an hour. (I think Rob was just waiting for my light to go out.)

But.

I'm waiting for Em to call since her movie is due to be over any minute. Why can teenagers not go to the matinee?

Marita!
I actually used some Arbonne samples that I have here at the house. I'm all dewy and fresh but I only look 35 and Wendee looks 29. So I reckon you better hold out to see what she's using.

Moo!
Thank you for the movie review! I'll watch Stardust tomorrow. Toonami was on tonight so the movie was a no-go.

Your loss :guilty:

I do the treats after kids go to bed thing too. Like in the movie Matilda, the ugly gross lady chews her chocolates and says, "Much too good for children" Those are the nights I get them to bed amazingly fast. Mother of the Year!

pj - congrats on another great interview! :yay: I have an interview on Monday. and I'm nervous!

to all - I'm thinking of making a Giselle dress (the curtain one, duh!) to wear to the pirate and princess party. I might get my mom to go with me fabric shopping later.
(Hi mom!)
If I can get myself out of my funk.
Thanks, Cel! I'm sure you'll do great on your interview, too. I'll be thinking about you. I have been nervous every time but it seems like once I start talking and realize I know what I'm talking about, the nerves go away.

Someone please make this Winter stop!

-- Rob
Alright, I'm going to be the bigger person here and offer to take your winter. It's been warm here all week, like 75. Then, today it was about 45-50 and I was so happy!!!!!!! Have I mentioned I don't mind winter and snow? I like coat weather. None of this 70's crap for me, keep it cool. I could totally go for another snow.

That's kind of what we're doing Nab. As PJ hinted at (ok, flat out said) in an earlier post, the sofas we bought are similar to the ones we replaced. We had them in different locations than there "siblings" were but didn't like it so we're basically going back to the old setup.

-- Rob
I'm really more of a flat out sayer than a hinter. And I am going to flat out say that I am totally not counting a poofing picture as having met the dare. I'm just not falling for it. I ain't stupid, ya know. I hereby triple dog dare you to post a picture of yourself and leave it up for all the world to see.

Today I got up earlyish so I could get to the hospital to be there with my sister during her dad's surgery. My sis was ticked because they took him into surgery at 9:00 instead of noon and didn't bother to let her know. Fortunately, she got there in time to talk with the surgeon and everything went pretty well, but they put in lots of metal stuff to hold the bones together.

Peej, hope you're having a restfu weekend pixiedust:
Glad to hear the surgery went well. Hope he has an easy recovery.

And, thanks, Moo. :) I had a restfu night last night. Tonight a group of us went to Sports Plus to do the whole laser tag/ice skating thing. I am not generally a competitive person. But man, when I play laser tag, watch out!!! :cool2: :rotfl: It was really fun. The ice skating rink, however, got closed because a woman fell and split her head open on the ice!! It wasn't pretty. :scared:

Twink...what is a cake walk?

Rob thanks for the PM.

Question now .... is there hair under that hat....:lmao:

That's not EVER going to happen and, if you really do have a steel trap memory, I'm pretty sure you know why.

-- Rob

I am not a superhero. I ate three large chocolate chip cookies. Dinner and a movie has become dessert and a dvd.

Where is Lynette? We are watching Rescue Me- the one where Tommy is "on the goofballs"

ETA: are you joking me Princess PJ? what is a cake walk?

I'm just waiting for Saturday Night Live to start. It's going to be awe-some!

My family is on 10 straight hours of video-game-palooza.

PSSH! They need to get a life

TWINKIE- NO more cookies. It is my peep-duty to leap across the room and smack the next cookie out of your mouth...and I will. NO MORE. ;) :flower3:

Would I joke about a serious matter like cake?
