Can't weigh in on the Enchanted discussion, never seen it.

So we went to Tuskerhouse for lunch today for collegues going away. The new buffet setup. It was really good, everyone really liked the food, and there were lots of options
We talked to our waitress for a bit about there vs Restorantasaurus. She said Character breakfast was a lot more fun at the old place, they would do jokes and things, vs here it was more upscale so management didn't want them to do that.
They had very nice tables and chairs with nice silverware and wine glasses on the table, which really looked a bit odd on the floors that were made to look like concrete with cracks in it.

Anyway, the food was good and plentiful, you might want to try it next time.

My mom had surgery for "gray star", whatever that is, in her 80's and made it just fine..

One Enchanted Evening


Pizza was good. Chocolate chip cookies for dessert was a brilliant choice if I do say so myself.

Movie-

The twinkie twins really liked it and even got some of the jokes.

Grasshopper ate during most of it. So he was happy.

Goldenchild didn't really have the attention span but enjoyed some parts and acted like a deranged circus monkey the rest of the time.

DS14 on the movie "It is really corny which is ok when it is a cartoon, not so much in real life" I tried to explain that was the entire joke of it.

DS14 on Giselle "She looks really old. How old is she?"

Mr Twinks "Well that was a cute movie. The music made me really want to go to Disneyworld."

Heh heh heh. My plans are working.

I liked spotting the Disney references and the park scene where everyone can sing AND dance.

Oh, regarding making sons favorite dinners before he leaves for OTS, his first request was cabbage rolls.
SO what did I find in the freezer today? Frozen cabbage rolls, which I did NOT buy.

Coincidence?

We never had frozen cabbage rolls before. And can they rival my freshly made ones? I doubt it.
It is almost tempting though, those things are a ton of work, and take a lot of pots and pans.

So I could skip making those and move on to request # 2 of liver and onions

All this talk of Enchanted makes me feel the need to go out and rent it. Oh and a local movie store told me I had one week to cash in a free rental. Maybe tomorrow night. My baby has strep. Had to take her to the doc. today. Right before we left she puked chocolate milk (her breakfast of champions ) all over my ivory carpet, and then the tornado sirens started blaring. I got it all cleaned up and we beat the storm to the doc's office.

Poor thing puked three more times in the doc's office. The first nurse said she wasn't gonna swab her throat since she puked. And then she never came back. She was young and looked like a newbie. Then the more experienced nurse came in and helped us. The doc actually swabbed her throat, but he told me he was pretty sure it was strep. Then as he is giving me her perscription, she pukes again. Then he took my "scrip" and said how about a shot? I said that would be great. That way she would feel better faster, and I didn't have to worry about her throwing up the medicine. She has done a lot of resting. I just hope this mama doesn't inherit her daughter's disease.

Ooohhh, I've got to go put my comforter in the dryer. I had to wash it since she was laying on it before she got sick. I had to wash all those yucky strep germs away.

The tornado sirens went off here today. I was sitting in a bar with my BFF after we strategically set up our tables of loot.

I had a few very low carb beers.

Watched the Tigers win and had not a single child next to me.

Wendy, my pizza was most definitely NOT low carb (deep dish) I'm kind of glad to not be doing the dining plan next month. And also not overdoing the buffet meals. I am kind of looking forward to trying Boma though. And maybe finally trying the Tonga toast at the Kona Cafe or even the Poly's quick serve place. Although Tusker House would be fun to try, I think we are going to try to go to Boma on our AK day.

Cel, did you make a Boma ressie? Or should I??!

Marita, make a deal with your DH or DD to clean up the kitchen if you cook the cabbage rolls They should buy into that if they like them too!

Allie! So sorry your DD has strep. Definitely wash those bugs away. Hope she feels better fast.
