Hi ,So i have a room reserved on the date of the June 29 Moonlight magic event .we are a family of 5 (i have a room at Poly that sleeps 5 ).i have all 5 of my family listed on the reservation .Now my daughter my bring her bf. i am willing to let her bf take my spot for the event ,but as i have said he dose not know (work issues) if he can make it.the deadline to have the reservation setup is Monday the 9. So do i put my name on the reservation for now and if he makes it ,can i just give him my ticket or do they check names and finger prints? if he dose come, he would be in a room at pop.not sure what is the best way to handle this so i cover if he comes ,he and dd can go to event, and i do other things, but also if he can not make it i can go.any advice would be great thank you

It doesn't matter who you bring so long as the blue card holder is there to pick up tickets. These don't link to Magic Band.

It depends where you pick up your tickets.
When I went to pick up our tickets at Kidani, I could only get my ticket. Everyone in our group had to come to the lobby and show their IDs to get their bands. I saw this happen with other groups as well. I have read similar reports from others at the same resort. Other resorts may not be as strict.

When we went last year we got our wristbands at the entrance of MK and I was the only one that had to show ID.

Last year at Epcot we all had to check in at the same time. (DH was waiting off to the side and had to go through the line with me)I also had asked previously if I could just check them in and someone could use my ticket, (I would just check them in) and was told by MS that the person listed on the MM reservation has to be there with the rest of the group in the park.

You don’t give names when you‘re booking MM, do you?

See, given that people check in and give away their tickets all the time (see also every thread asking for extra tickets for additional guests), it shows that they don't force any but the lead guest with blue card to check the box or show ID.

This is true if you check in at a resort.

Most reports are that if you check in at the park, they will require that all persons be there at the time of check in.

Fair. But mostly what that means is OP should check in at resort.
