Moonlight Magic - REALLY

We have a split stay planned that falls on one of the Hollywood event nights. We check out of our direct purchased resort the morning of the event and into our resale purchased resort the afternoon of the event. Anyone know if we will be allowed to reserve for the event when it opens to people with reservations? Not sure of the rules around “blue card” reservations and non blue card reservations.
Shouldn't matter. We were there in March and did a split stay on points ay POLY, and 5 nights at ASMO. We were at ASMO for the event and I booked it online with no problem. Somehow, the system saw my reservation at movies.

Anyone ever attend the one a typhoon lagoon? It falls on my date.
I went this past September.
It was very nice. We couldn't go into the water right away, as there had been thunder.
A very long line for the meal. Lines for rides, not so long. Lazy River fairly busy. A lot of people having fun at the disc jockey.
And free Mickey bars and sandwiches, and frozen fruit bars.

One per park per year.
Follow-on question. Is that per member or per membership?
I suspect it is per membership because I know the member + 3 guests is actually per membership. I know two members on the same membership can't each bring 3 guests for a total of 8 attendees. The membership is limted to 4 attendees (or number of people in a single reservation).

My DD and I have separate trips planned next fall. Each trip contains one of the DHS dates. We are both on the same contract. I suspect we can't both get MM tickets. If you could all husband and wife joint ownerships could get one reservation in the husbands name and one in the wifes name. That seems like a too easy way around the restriction.

I’m pretty excited! We are planning a 2 night stay before a cruise for my 40th bday. We fly in on my actual bday and there’s a MM that night! We live in AZ and have never been able to make any DVC extra anything. Super hopeful we can snag tickets!

Can my husband try at the same time as me? I’ve read about people using multiple devices... but is that not a thing anymore with the new queueing system?

How hard is it to get tickets if you are staying on property? I had some points available so I booked a stay at BLT during one of the HS MMs in September. Do I need to be on the website right away on the day it opens? Just wondering if I need to take off work to be sure I get them.

it can be challenging indeed. It’s very frustrating. Once it was easy, then the next time was a disaster. It’s all dependent on what kind of day the website is having.

Per membership.

If you have 3 people on the deed, it's still one per park for the membership even if the 3 people go separately, all for MK dates.

Thanks. That is what I expected, and I believe it is consistent with the intent of the restriction. I just want to make sure we were managing expectations before the July booking date.

I just looked over the dates again and realized that I will actually hit 2 in 2020 (I overlooked Epcot because its probably the one I am interested in least.)

Anyway I currently have 2 trips booked for 2020, my typical mid-september F&W, MNSSHP trip (one week) and a 4 day weekend the beginning of May for Dapper Day (that's where I hit the Epcot one). 11 days booked so far and hit 2. I will also book my typical trip for early december (non on those dates). This is my typical yearly schedule. I hit one or 2 every year. I wonder if its mere luck, or if its that I travel in targeted (slow) times, and that is when Disney does them. I have gotten very luck with the schedules.

I just emailed member services asking why I did not get the email with the announced dates.

Thanks
Live local in 2020 so going to try!

Good luck. I tried booking one when I was staying offsite and couldn't.

But if you have flexibility and luck, a few posters have had a ticket they didn't need and offered to meet up, so you never know.

I have not had any luck booking these moonlight magic events, the system is always James up and I can’t get through. Any tips?

I just joined DVC in July, I didn't get an email. How can my family attend? One of them falls within my dates of a trip I have already booked.

Don't feel bad about not getting the Email. We've been members since 2002, already have BCV reservations during a DHS one, and yet we never got any Email either.

I just received the email for our April stay for the MK Moonlight Magic Event, and it let me link the que for the event so check your email account Disboard members.

We loved the Epcot MM last year, and, fortunately, wound up with an Epcot MM scheduled for May visit this year :yay: We're also going to be there for a DHS one in Oct, but it's the Epcot one we are REALLY looking forward to (we did an AK DVC event a few years ago & loved that one also; MK is the only one we wouldn't bother with).

hopefully, they keep scheduling them during the times we go :cloud9:

What made the others better than MK?
