I had some problems yesterday and could not get MM tickets. (My friend did though, so I am still going, but I am still peeved). While I show as DVC Y on the app, I seem to be in a no mans land of just SORT OF a blue card member.
I do not get emails for things like MM, or new ride previews. Ever. I DO get emails from the Marketing department to buy more direct points so they know I exist. I have double checked my online contact info, I enter the correct 12 digit membership number if trying to sign up using a link.
Yesterday I was trying to get tickets, using a cash reservation booked many months ago. (my friend had an identical reservation and it worked fine, she gets all her emails as well). It did not recognize my reservation as valid, after I entered my 12 digit direct account #. I see others who had point reservations using resale points with same problem, who are also direct blue card members, with 2 contracts like me. It said to try again, I would have tried my resale # but it glitched and tossed me out. Others even CALLED beforehand on Tuesday and were assured they were eligible and also were blocked.
I think it is time for DVC to assign a few IT CMs to look into this. The point isn't missing MM one day, it is that going forward I will miss every other opportunity as well. (heck I am still going). For example if their is a ride preview for Tron, I won't be able to do that either. And on and on. I will be contacting DVC about this, and encourage others to do so as well who have IT type glitches.
