Moonlight Magic - Disneyland??

Does anybody know if you can still book for 4 people if you only have 2 people registered on your hotel reservation?

Also, do we think the early registration will book up quickly? I'll be on a plane right when it opens (of course) and will have to wait about an hour before I can join the queue.

Received an email as well. The countdown on the link is wrong for me. It shows about 19.5 hours, which would be 12/28 at 8 am PT (but the email and link state 12/29 at 8 am PT). Anyone else seeing the same countdown?

Yes, I saw the same countdown. Maybe it'll reset tomorrow? I'm going to keep an eye on it.

Here's the fine print:
A Member can register themselves and up to 4 additional Guests per Membership (for a total of 5) or up to the number of Guests on their Resort reservation, provided it was finalized prior to December 25, 2022. Modifications to your Resort reservation party size after December 25, 2022 will not increase party size for the event. Children younger than 3 years old do not need to be registered for this event.

Just received an email for registration... They are doing early registration if you have any DLR reservation. Mine was a regular reservation at DLH, not a DVC reservation.

I got the email for early registration too. I have a DLH reservation with a MK discount for the night. Crossing fingers we get in during the registration on Thursday.

Thanks, I saw that and it sounds like I can. But the wording that says up to the number of guests on the reservation scared me a little. I was in a hurry when I made the reservation and only made it for 2, but hoping to register 4 people.

Darn it. Does anyone think I will get the link if I book a reservation at DH? I was thinking about it until the person from member services told me that it wouldn’t qualify.

Based on the quote above, looks like you cannot book the DLH now in hopes of then getting MM early registration. Had to be done by 12/25.

Registered successfully, received e-mail confirmation! It just asked for a total number in the party, not additional names. There are 3 people listed in our hotel reservation but I entered 5 with no issues.

I got in as well, were only 30 ahead of me in virtual queue when i first joined. I don't think people without reservations will have too much trouble getting in on 1/6.

Interestingly enough, i have 2 member numbers, a blue card and a white card. It wouldn't let me register on the blue card, only the white card, which i guess it linked to my non-dvc DLH reservation. Hope this doesn't cause an issue at check-in, but i imagine that if it was a problem it shouldn't have let me register.

I got straight in to register. And I have 2 memberships too and had the same thing happen. Blue card membership did not work, but the white card one did. Makes me very nervous. Wondering if I should try registering on 1/6 too with my blue card number? Or maybe call and see what they say?!?!?

Don't worry. Same thing happened to me at AK back in July and never had any issues. If you got tickets, you're in

Officially I don't know, but nighttime shows are usually not part of MM. I'm 95% certain it won't be and honestly, with the rare characters, free snacks, DVC-only crowd and short lines you're better off seeing it another night anyway.

I’m fairly certain the last MM at DCA did not have a WOC showing. The 2017 DL MM they had two showings of the newly revamped (at the time) Fantasmic for members. It was amazing! 🥲
You bring up a good point though, as the new WoC for the 100th will debut days prior on the 26th.

I adjust my response to... It's 50-50.

The WoC dessert party shows up for 6:30. So I wonder if they are still having it, but it’s just earlier in the evening. I wonder how that will work for the virtual queue though if DVC members can start entering at 5 pm.

When did you check the schedule? I just looked right now and it says WOC One show is at 7:30 for 2/1.

Got registered, but it wouldn't let me put in an alternate name or change the name to another person on our membership number like in the past. It auto defaulted to the first person listed on the title which is my mom who I not attending. Hoping member services will be able to assist.
