We are going to go to the one in Jan and I thought I had booked saratoga to realize it never went through, which is why I hate booking on my phone. Today nothing is left and booked at POP. Will their be buses back to POP at the end? or should we just plan on driving.

We were staying at Pop for the DVC 25th Anniversary Party at MK in 2016, and DVC provided bus transport there afterwards. Since a DVC Resort reservation is not required to attend Moonlight Magic, I don’t see why they wouldn’t provide transportation to any Disney Resort for those staying onsite.

Edited 12/1 to correct name of event we attended!

Members and Special Guests attending this event can also take advantage of complimentary transportation between Epcot and Disney Vacation Club Resorts.

That was in the Epcot Moonlight Magic email I just got....I mean we will have our car its just nice to not have to deal with it for Magic Kingdom. We will be at a DVC resort for Epcot.

During previous moonlight events, the buses were listed to run only to dvc resorts. We drove our own car so didn’t use the bus service.

Here’s the info from a former event.

Transportation: Complimentary transportation is available before, during and after the event between Disney’s Animal Kingdom® Park and Disney Vacation Club® Resorts for Members and their Guests staying at a Disney Vacation Club® Resort.

Don’t give up on a waitlist for SSR if you can do a 1 bedroom. I had only 1 night, but pieced together a 3 night stay in a 1 bedroom for one of the January events.

We haven't attended any of the Moonlight Magic events, just the 25th Anniversary party in MK, so I admit we have limited experience. However, Disney did provide bus service back to non-DVC resorts after the 25th Anniversary party. I know the email re 2018 events and the upcoming Epcot event mention transportation to DVC resorts only, but I can't imagine they'd leave DVC members staying at non-DVC resorts stranded at any of their theme parks after Moonlight Magic events. Especially since those guests may have used DME to get to WDW and may not have a rental car - unless they plan to have a lot of Minnie Vans or Uber/Lyft vehicles available for paid transport!

Does anyone have experience with transportation back to non-DVC resorts after other Moonlight Magic events in 2017?

I believe that the upcoming Epcot event info says buses will be provided to MK resorts after the party.

The Epcot Monorail stops running at 11 pm. Disney will start bus service to the Monorail resorts at 10:30 pm.

There would be a good chance I bet too. We would have to pull the points anyway, so probably will just stick to our $115 pop room.
