Monty Says :

"Whining about things you can not change will get you nowhere. It will only succeed in annoying people and then they won't want to play frisbee with you or share their cookies with you. It is really best to look at everything with a positive attitude."

Lol! I'm awful. He sometimes has to go outside when it's raining too... You should see the looks I get when I make him go out in the rain. The poor baby!

that is so true

I need to think about this...especially when I start getting irritated about my job situation is and how I can't change it right now..or when someone gets a raise I thought I deserved

Thanks Monty..you ROCK!

According to my cat, that's not nearly as annoying as whining about things you CAN change but just choose not to! I always knew cats were smarter than dogs ;).

I know! The horror! Sometimes, the poor dear even has to get his paws wet.

He lives a very difficult life.

Hmmmm, it might be smart to keep personal jabs out of "Monty Dog" posts. The dog looks too nice to be passive aggressive.

Thank you for those words of wisdom today, Monty. I am going to pass them along to my employees :)

I have to admit this one really shocks me.

Passive/Agressive personal attacks are so unlike a terrier

I hope Monty is feeling ok.

My pups need this lesson today. They were whining this morning. They wanted to go out but didn't want to pee when they were there because of the rain. But when they came in, they were whining to go back out again

Just curious, what are Monty's thoughts about whining behind someones back? Would that be the same as whining to thier face? hmm If you whine behind their back, they wouldn't know and they would still play frisbee and share cookies.

Something to ponder::yes::

Whining about things you can change but won't is awfully annoying too. Everyone has the power to change just about anything, like a college major or a job/financial situation. It just takes a bit more effort than whining and playing martyr. :)

I honestly think that Esmaralda is way too nice to describe anyone as being passive-aggressive. That type of behaviour is really more of something someone uses to get back at someone in a non-confrontational, non- direct way. I don't really think that it can be applied to a dog. ;)

It's really all about misplaced anger and aggression. Not being able to confront the people in our lives that we really want to confront. It's about holding things inside until they fester. Kind of weird, huh?

Just ignore my pop psychology.

Monty, we love you. Have agreat day!:sunny:
