Monty Dog visits Salem (pictures)

Hello all,

Monty Dog had a very exciting first July 4th. This year we went to Salem , MA to spend a day perusing the shops and historical buildings and then see some fireworks!

Here are some photos from Monty's day…

Here they are heading down by Pickering Wharf, home of several wax museums, fine resteraunts and my favorite shoppe The Crystal Moon, a place where Monty is always welcome to come in and say "Hi!"

Here we all are on the wharf , behind us is the ship Friendship. This is a gorgeous ship. If you're ever in Salem, it's worth checking out!

Monty & Chris in front of the New England Pirate Museum. Monty was a pirate last Halloween you know! Arrrrrr….

Monty visits his first outdoor café (he ordered a childrens meal but he only ate a little)

Exploring the fountain in the downtown shopping area. Monty made so many friends with kids who were splashing around…

And weren't we surprised when he decided to splash a bit himself!

Chris and Monty made it to the center of the fountain!

Monty had a blast chasing these bubbles that were blowing from many of the shoppes and windows!

This officer wanted to recruit Monty as a police dog!

Ah, they finally started. Monty was mesmerized!

Okay we were mesmerized too…

But poor little Monty just couldn't stay awake till the finale J

What nice pictures, Sheri!! Looks like you guys, Monty too, had a great day, start to finish. And that town of Salem, historic as it is, sure looks like a neat place to visit. I like that ship!!!!! Thanks for sharing, and Monty, he is just too cute, LOL.

Well, to tell the truth....don't be fooled by how sweet he looks in pictures...he is a little demon dog!!!

Those picture are great!!! Monty sure is a cutey! Thanks for sharing them! I am glad that ya'll had such a great 4th!!! I have a little Boston Terrier that loves to go with us as well. I was glad to hear that Monty was welcome in at least one inside place! I keep hoping for more pet friendly places to bring her!! She behaves a lot better than my boys did when they were little!!! (They weren't bad at all - but she is exceptionally good!!! At least in her Mama's opinion anyway!)

He is 100 percent pure Jack Russell Terror....I mean...terrier.
