We ponied up $160 (ouch!) for the Jiko wine dinner last week, and I finally finished my review today. Click here to read it in full, complete with food porn. I have to say, I actually enjoyed this more than Victoria and Albert's. It's cool because the chefs give a little explanation before each of the courses. Of course, I'm a big fan of Jiko in general so my opinion is a bit skewed. Oh well, you can judge for yourself when you see the mouthwatering photos (caution: don't click the link on an empty stomach).

Thanks for the great review...up to $160 now (yikes!). We did one a few years ago and it was around $120 I believe.

What a great review! Thanks so much for the wonderful photos!

Yes, the price made me balk a bit since you can't use Tables in Wonderland either. Some of the people who were there do it every month, and I have to say I'm quite jealous of them. We have a ressie for June (we were on the wait list for this month), and I'm trying to figure out how to swing doing in then as well.

Thanks for all the info! A question: If you're waitlisted, what happens should a table open up? Do they give you a call, and then take your credit card then and there? For folks who do have a confirmed reservation, do they have to cancel a certain # of days ahead in order to not be charged?

We went on a waitlist a couple of months ago. I'm not sure what the process is from there. Thanks again!

With the waitlist, they contacted me via email the prior week to let me know space had opened, and I had to call them back with the charge card to confirm. I'm not sure of the cancellation policy but I will post then I find out...I really need to check into it in case we have to cancel in June.

This is something DH and I would totally be interested in. Is there a scheduled of them? Do other restaurants have them as well?

Thanks!
Karen

I'm not sure about the other restaurants, but Jiko holds them on the first Thursday of every month.
