Monthly auto-payment of Annual dues?

Is it possible to set up monthly auto payment for the annual dues?

I thought someone mentioned this in one of the forums, but on dvcmember.com I only see the option to pay the annual dues in full.

Tried the search function, but that only gave me posts about paying off the loan in monthly payments.

Yes. You need to call DVC Member Services and select the "Member Accounting" option. Someone there will tell you what information they need from you. If I remember correctly you can either snail mail the information or fax it to them.

Only from a bank account, not from a credit card. You have the option of the 1st of the month or the 15th. Except January, everyone is the 15th.

I do not think you can do it. You show your location as Zurich, Switzerland, and I believe that for non-US members they will not accept a foreign bank account.

drusba is correct, they will only auto-debit from a US bank account.

At one time, DVC did allow automatic charge to a credit card on a monthly basis if you did not live in the US. Did they stop that option?

The OP should call member accounting and see what options might still be available .

It's true, DVC will only accept payments from a US account.

However, what's wrong with setting one up?

I'm from Wales in the UK but I pay monthly through my Suntrust account that I set up at the DTD branch and it was very easy.

All I did was bring some ID (not a problem as I had my passports) and some of the DVC paperwork. It seems to be something they do on a regular basis.

The added bonus is that I now have a US debit card that makes paying for things in the states so much easier and means I don't have to get travellers cheques every time I fly over.

I even use it as a "vacation savings account", transfering extra cash in every month so that all my spending money is waiting for me when I get there.

Yes, but if they continue the normal pattern, your January payment will come out of your accunt on the 15th. They rest of the year will be the 1st, unless you've decided it should always be in the 15th.
