Tracy - I wish I could see what you are talking about. Sounds interesting. I'm not a fast jogger so your technique may not apply to me. Have fun on the bike! I love riding on my road bike.
Kira - welcome back. I just love Europe! Did you take the train from London to Paris? I like going through the chunnel but it makes my traveling buddy nervous. I was in Paris for New Year's Eve this past Dec/Jan. The temp was in the upper 20's. On New Year's day, we got up early to visit some of the museums. I was amazed to see quite a few joggers out in the cold, especially on New Year's morning. Needless to say, I wasn't one of them. Ha!

karaeric and wdwprncess77! You'll find lots of great support on these threads. And yes, they can be quite addicting!
The weather here in Arkansas has been very hot and muggy. I just haven't been training as much as I would like. I really can't take the heat/humidity well. *sigh* However, an unusual cold front is going to be coming through in the next few days. We are actually going to see low temps in the 60's and highs in the upper 80's. That's cool for this time of year. I'll gladly take it!!!
Although I haven't been training on foot, I have been riding my bike some. We've been doing 30-40 mile bike rides on the weekends. Biking is so much easier for me, especially in the summer. I've discovered that biking helps my long runs but unfortunately, those long runs haven't helped my biking. Ha!
