Monstrous All-Nighter TR: Don't question it, just go

Great report- I had tears just reading about the final act!

STITCH RULES!

I would have regretted not doing Mickey and Minnie in their night clothes as well. It's kind of a bummer that your companions weren't more into the special stuff. But great that you got to go, right? :thumbsup2

I thought you made an excellent choice on where to sing the wrong song. Hadn't thought of the Hall of Presidents, but definitely thought that one could have been pretty irritating on some rides.

The Mickey Mouse Club closing theme got me all teary eyed just reading about it. But I always have to wipe my eyes at the opening show, so I'm kind of a lost cause. :upsidedow

Thanks so much for sharing! :goodvibes

So I was going to write a narrative conclusion post like the rest of the TR, but I figured there was actually so little going on that it would get kinda boring, haha. Basically long story short, we slept all day long and awoke from our deep slumber around 4pm.

(As a side note, mid-day there was a very loud cleaning crew blowing leaves and trimming bushes outside. Taylor woke up and shouted above the noise, "Why in the world are they doing this now? Don't they know people are trying to sleep?!" ;))

We visited Downtown Disney that night and then resort-hopped around the MK resorts, including relaxing on the Poly beach again and watches Wishes from there. I was surprised that they don't pump the Wishes audio on the beach... it took away from like half the experience! But still of course glad to watch the show. We returned to the Days Inn and then headed home in the morning, and... just like that, the trip was over. :wizard:

BUT... I have some exciting news. As I type this, I'm getting ready to leave for WDW in the morning. And this time last week I didn't even have the thought in my mind of going. It's the most last-minute I've ever been, but I'm so excited! Caleb is going again, and two of our friends Jeremy and Brody are coming too. We are NOT staying at the Days Inn. No no no never ever no sir no maam no thank you no no. At the suggestion of Jud, we are staying at Motel 6 right in Kissimmi. Thanks for the suggestion, Jud!!

I've started a trip report and I look forward to sharing our experience.

I've had fun remembering the events of the Monstrous All-Nighter over the past sememester. Thank you for reading! I've really enjoyed everyone's company.

Soooo... tomorrow night you're at Motel 6 MGE??? Dang! I ought to pop on down...

I know I'm resurrecting a really old thread here, but after the announcement of the 2014 all nighter I thought I'd do a search for a TR - and found this!

It's amazing, I love your writing style and the attractions you are drawn to are similar to my must do moments. I've been reading it all day (when my kids allow) and living vicariously! Loved every minute, so thank you :D

I will be in Disney for the next 24 hour event and have it on my list that I *must* see sunrise over MK. I would love to do the full 24 hours, but with 5 children in tow that wont happen. Do you know what time (if any) they stopped letting people in? Wondering if I could do beginning and end...

Logging back in after a DIS break and just seeing your comment - thank you for the kind words! To my knowledge they never stopped letting people into the Magic Kingdom physically, but they did start sending people to park at Epcot. I'm not sure the exact time that that happened, somewhere early evening I'd guess. We left MK at 7pm and it was fine. Came back at 10:30 and it was :scared1:

Things did settle down a bit, and with every year's event, the CMs have more experience and know how to handle things a little better each time, and the redesign of the Hub will certainly help with things. But around 9pm to 1am I'd still expect things to be craaaazy. If you are in the park around that time, I would suggest not even trying to go anywhere near Main Street.
