Has anyone done the new Monsters Inc Laugh Factory??? I'm sooo disappointed that they didn't bring the same Monsters Inc ride that they have in Disneyland. It was soo awesome we rode it several times a day for the whole 10 days we were there. Monsters Inc is a big fav in our house. You really felt like you were in the movie and Roz at the end of the ride was hysterical. She kept saying different things to the boys cracking them up. I'm upset that they are doing a Turtle Talk w/Crush rip off instead of a ride. Ressure me , Please!!

while i agree that roz at disneyland is probably one of the best things disney has done in any of the parks, i'm not sure the attraction there is really THAT fabulous. it's good and all, but roz is the only thing that provides any reride value.

for the record, she has a series of pre-recorded phrases and a CM behind the scenes dynamically chooses what she says based on who's in the vehicle. i actually rode about 3 or 4 times in a row because i was trying to photograph the tribute to superstar limo and she flirted with me everytime. at one point i approached her with my back to her and she asked if i was ignoring her.

but i happen to like laugh floor. i won't see it that many times but that's for personal reasons.

Roz for our rides was saying things specific for us ex "Hey blondie, yeah you in the middle nice pink shirt" "This isn't the Nemo ride get that T shirt off!!"

This is a prime example of WDW using current structures to FIT new rides/attractions in.

Obviously if there was room for a ride like at DL, they'd have done it. The only space they had open was in the previous Time Keeper building. I really enjoy the Laugh out Loud Comedy Club. I personally dont want everything at DL to be just like WDW. WDW has some things better and DL has some things better. It makes it more fun for those who go to both parks to have a great time and allows us at WDW to have some unique things of our own.

Why do you think Stitch is the way it is? Mainly because they just had to use the building that was there.

Im CONVINCED that WDW has something planned for the current "Pooh" area. I think it's a temporary thing and Im just 100% convinced that in the next years, we'll see something special there that is probably currently in planning.

I finally got the chance to go to the laugh floor the other day. It was cute. I did like the way that they would spotlight an audience member and make comments. We had one in our show who they really gave it to , all in good fun. I will go again (unlike Stitch).

Teh laugh floor was really cute. My 7 year old loved it so much. We went 5 times. The first time we were sitting on an end and they picked my mother. We didn't know what to expect. It was so funny. Each time we went back, they did similar things. Because each person's response was different, it made the experience different too. We just came back on May 8th and my daughter keeps asking if that is the first thing we do when we go back.

I am just wondering how they did it. How they added the person's name and place. I also noticed that the voices were different too which would lead me to beleive that their are live persons behind the scenes. Does anyone know how this is done?

have you not seen turtle talk?

yes, it's done and animated live. sortof.

Based on the annual report Disney sent out with sketches of concepts, I have to wonder about the picture for a Monsters, Inc. attraction. It was a bit different in appearance than the one at California Adventure. Hopefully quite a few of those concepts come to fruition.

And if a Monsters, Inc. ride similar to the one in California appears at WDW, I better brace myself. We were out there for 3 days, and DS would start chanting "again, again" as soon as we were getting out of the taxi. He'd take off, run out the exit, right back in line, other guests and CM's just laughing. We probably rode it around 20 times, and did videotape the ride during one of those times. Roz told me that the lens cap was still on.

DH and I saw the show a few weeks ago, it was ok but we will not wait to see it again. IMHO Crush is SOOO much better.

We wish it was a ride too.

The one at WDW is not a ride. It's an interactive show, completely different than the ride at DL/CA

Yes, we went to the Laugh Floor last month. I'm referring to a picture in the Shareholders' Annual Report that appeared to be slightly different than the California Monsters, Inc. ride, which makes me wonder if that will eventually become a ride at WDW. I should have stated that better before.

We saw it on Monday and this is exactly what my dh and I said. Now my 4 dd year old wanted to do it again on Tuesday.

How were the lines for this attraction??

Also... wasn't there talk of a Monsters Inc ride at Disney Studios? What is going in where Millionaire was?

A Toy Story attraction similar to Buzz Lightyear's

Thank you for the information. I wonder how many of those concepts will make it to reality. It seems that one is, and the Toy Story one is going in at MGM. Hopefully, the Cars one comes about at WDW. Some of those resorts looked pretty neat also.

I wish WDW had the Indy ride now thats awesome. Monsters Inc is a big fav at our house so we'll do the Laugh Factory I just really loved the ride.

I agree lauging floor is ridiculous in comparison to Monsters Inc at DL. Honestly most WDW attractions are sub par compared to DL. The attention to detail is much greater at DL. I'm a WDW addict but I noticed this on our visit to DL last month.
