My kids, 8 and 5, enjoyed it. First time I rode it was after a break at the Carl Strauss wagon, wasn't so bad. Went on it yesterday, first thing in the morning and didn't like it as much. I think beer goggles work for just about anything.

Hi - just getting acquainted with the boards!

I wanted to put my two cents in about Mike & Sulley:

I was able to ride during a sneak peek over New Year's Weekend. I really enjoyed it. My sister was taking a nap at GC, so I rode alone, and went on again with her. Both times Roz decided to talk to me!

Strangely enough, the second time, when my sister and I (who are close in age and look alike) rode, Roz said "Young lady, in the third row, are you two twins?" Quite amusing.

I thought the idea to give the dark ride new life with this attraction was interesting. It's certainly not a door buster, but it is still fun. The Randall effect at the end with Boo is neat, and the final scene with all the doors really does immerse you in the movie.

Overall, I thought it was funny and amusing. I know my parents will love it when we go in March. They loved the movie, and when something new opens, they are always blown away (not critical like me, they just enjoy everything for what it is).

Just a tidbit, I live in Buffalo, NY, and I am going back to DL in March even though I was just there in January because I won a trip from McDonalds! I thought that was the most bizarre thing! I'm so excited, because I've only been to DL 2 other times before this year, and I love it. I go to WDW four times a year, and I love to go between the two.

I haven't been on it yet will try it this summer when we go again. It wasn't open when we were there last July.

I think they need to bring in RockNRollercoaster from MGM studios in DW to where the old Millionaire set was. Now THAT ride would really bring some action to the place I think!!

We were there Feb.4-5, and every time we checked the wait time, it was a 60-minute wait!! So, I guess I'm glad we didn't waste our time. I'm sure we'll check it out once the popularity dies down.

I agree with everyone here...DCA needs more rides! (I am the ride junkie, after all.)

That was pretty sad. Initial specs on the ride indicated it would be a faster moving ride with you being chased by the paparazzi. I remember analogies between the rumored ride and the Princess Diana situation at the time.

The end ride was just not up to standards. It had charicatures (spelling?) of current (at the time) mostly Disney related stars. I remeber seeing Antonio Banderos and Melanie Griffith and thought it odd to have them in case they got a divorce.

I thought it would have had more staying power to have the movie star icons of the past, but then again luittle kids wouldn't have known most of them.

I have seen clips of the new ride (like in this year's WDW Christmas parade) which shows the same vehicles, just repainted and they still seemed to move very slow. I think Pinocchio moves faster.

I think the Monsters Inc theming is fine, but it does seem like DCA is becoming Pixarland.....IMO.

I think how long you wait in line has a lot to do with how you like this ride. We waited a long time, Id say upwards of 45 minutes (with screaming and crying kids and angry parents all around us. Thank goodness ours were having a good day that day!) , and we were all very disappointed with the ride. It would have been a cute little ride if the wait in line was 10 minutes... but not much more. It reminds me of the Pooh and the Alice ride in DL... cute little kids uneventful ride.

We rode this for the first time last weekend. At first the wait was 75 minutes ... we passed and came back later and waited about 40 minutes. I thought the attraction was cute, in line with other Fantasyland Attractions However, it seemed misplaced in DCA. Maybe they're trying to generate buzz for the park with something new, but I think it would be better suited in Fantasyland. Most of the wait is outside, and there is no theming whatsoever as you wait. When you look at what Disney did with attractions like Indiana Jones, and how they entertain you while you wait in line, this one is pathetic. Once you get inside the building, there is some theming, but the time you spend inside is minimal if you have a long wait. Having a meet and greet with the characters, or even monitors with film clips as you stand in line would help. Overall .. I'd recommend this ride if you have little kids or are a MONSTERS, INC movie fan, but hit it early so you don't have to wait. I wouldn't stand in line more than 10-15 minutes for it.

Personally, I love certain aspects of the ride. The queue line itself has some fun things. The ticket booth has rules and regulations that are all monster related (more than 1 body means buying 2 tickets, if you slime, clean it up, etc) The sushi menu is funny to read. The TV monitor has an "Emergency broadcast" sequence in which a monster screams, takes a breath, and screams again to finish the broadcast. The ride itself has Roz that talks to guests at the end, funny memos hanging on the walls about safety and the job and oh, my favorite part has to be going into the Harry Hausen sushi bar and smelling the ginger scent in the air. Just like a real sushi bar!

Yes, the ride is kinda slow, there isn't enough black light, it's a tad short, and the taxis are just repainted limos from the previous ride, but I still like it. Not the best ride out there, but it still gets props from me for what it does provide. Now, a meet and greet following the ride (from a previous poster) would be great!

personaly i was pretty dissapointed. even though i never had the "privelige" to ride All Star Limo or whatever it was called. i thought this was a really good example of waaay to little of a budget, i think the story/movie gave great potential for a really good ride. but i thought it completely fell short of a "good" ride.

We waited 45 minutes to ride the ride when we were there in Feb. and IMO it was totally not worth it. I found it extremely boring. My kids (2 & 4) did like it okay though.

Well, my brother-in-law and I must be "die-hard Disney" fans, because last weekend was the first time for both of us to ride it, and we both enjoyed it. And while I don't know how long we waited, it was certainly longer then fifteen minutes. Would I do it again, even if I had to wait longer then fifteen minutes? Yes. As for Roz's: "I like your glasses." We didn't know who she was refering to, until we figured out it was I, as my brother-in-law doesn't wear glasses.

then again i went on it in january, before it "officially" opened i guess, so maybe there were still a few kinks. i just didnt like the mike and sulley "puppets" how they didnt really do anything but move their heads side to side, know what i mean?

We went on it in January, too, at the cast members' night to celebrate this ride's opening. DD6 and I went on it while DH and DS15 went on Tower of Terror. I whined afterwards for having to endure such a boring ride while the guys got to do something exciting. DD6 was also decidely unimpressed. When we went again last month, my daughter said she'd rather avoid it. Heh! I predict this ride will be recycled yet again in a couple of years (it was originally Superstar Limo, another unimpressive ride).
