Alright who's had a chance to try out Monsters inc? What did you think? Does it have the same effect on the audience as Turtle Talk? What was your overal opinion of it? Any tips on where to sit or anything else? Thanks!

We went to it on opening day. We thought it was cute. We really like how it was interactive with a variety of audience members. I got chosen for one bit where two monsters sang a song about my supposed state capital and ended up rhyming my name in their song...way cute and hilarious. It still needed some kinks to be worked out. The text message a joke thing was lame...only one person in our group texted and the joke wasn't really funny. The queue isn't spectacular and I wish they'd have something playing on the tvs like at the Muppets queue. Overall, we liked it, but wouldn't wait more than 10 min. for it.

I was picked for an interactive part as well when one of the monsters was trying to read my mind. It was really cute and my whole family enjoyed it. We liked it so much we went back a second time.

I loved it. I texted a joke while waiting in line and it was used during the show. It was really cute. However, TT with Crush was better in terms of animation

we got to see a sneak peek in december, and my husband was "that guy" which my nieces thought was hysterical! I think the show has definitely improved since then, but I think Turtle talk is a cooler interactive attraction.

We went last week and the kids loved it. We thought it was cute - worth the wait, but not quite as good as TT.

We've heard a lot about it and we are going to see it for the first time on Thursday.

I thought it was OK, but like Crush better. Did love the "that guy" bit though. :) It's cute and worth seeing but I'll probably only do it again if I'm with someone who hasn't seen it yet.

If you DON'T want to be singled out (like us), avoid the center aisle and front rows. The CM with the mic won't be able to get to you in the middle of a row. ;)

Overall I thought TT was much more impressive in terms of animation. But this is probably a must-see at least once.

We went today for the first time and thought it was "cute", but not a headliner. The main show was very good, but I agree that they need to spruce up the "pre-show" like the Muppets (probably the best pre-show at WDW).

It is a cute show and my DD's loved it. My DD"s are 5 and 7 and kept wanting to go back and so we did 4 times. We thought it was funny, but maybe that's because my DD's thought it was hysterical. Their expressions to MAc and Cheese wert priceless as well as Roz. It's been almost 2 months since we have been back and they still do some of the jokes. The laugh Floor is all my oldest talks about and that is the first things we will do when we go back.

Can the text messaged jokes be any type? Like a knock-knock joke? Also, do they give the person's name who texted it? My sons really want to do it on our trip.
Thanks!

We did it in previews last March. It was open for a few shows at night but not during the day. Nobody texted in any jokes for our show but it was okay.
That was the week before they changed the signs to take out the "comedy club". I'm still kicking myself for not taking the CM's advice and buying the first version pin before they changed it to match the new signs.

I agree the "that guy" thing was funny. He was earing a hat & seated on the center aisle mid-way back on the left side if facing the stage.

The girls and I sat in the first or second row and they singled DD6 out, commenting on her light up Minnie Mouse dress which twinkled embrarassingly for DD17 and me in theater at night. She loved it though. It's definitely something we'd again but I wouldn't wait thru a long line for it.

It is a really cute show! DS(10) laughed all the way through it. Sit in the middle of the theater close to the center aisle if you want a chance to be part of the show. Yes, they can be knock, knock jokes, of course keep them clean. They do tell the audience who sent the joke.

We did this in May. I thought it was really cute. I was right on the center aisle and they spotlighted everyone around me. I was hoping they would NOT pick me. My legs however (and those of my chubby 1 year old) did make it up on the screen when they picked the lady in front of me, LOL.

I got to be the lady doing the mind reading trick.

i liked how they singled out many different people, instead of just the kids in TT. so if your an adult, you'll have more of a chance in the spotlight. when we went last week, the woman who got picked to have her mind read was asked to put antenna fingers on top of her head. she ended up accidentally giving the monster the middle finger during the process, which led the entire audience to burst out laughing. as as to the funny factor of the show, it is all based on luck and age, of course. the kids were loving the jokes, and the adults during my show obviously had a good laugh as well. it all depends on how the people who are singled out react, so if you get picked don't be shy!

I thought it was a funny show, but I had trouble enjoying it because I embarrass very easily, so the whole time I was thinking, please don't put me on the screen! I lucked out that.
