I just added this to my plan. Wanted a 2 credit in Epcot (already had Le Cellier on another Epcot Day). The menu looks fine, but, haven't seen a lot of experiences / reviews etc.

Share your Monsieur Paul experiences, please.

We were there in May and it was very good. We had been here in 2012 on our last trip to WDW and I was not a huge fan of it. My partner loves French food and I am okay with it, but he loved the place. The main issue at Monsieur Paul's is the very small menu. I am not a fan of fish but love fish and chips. I have had a few other fish dishes but when I go out for and expensive meal I don't want to "waste" the experience and money on a fish dish. Because the Monsieur menu is small I decided to just go for it and try the black cod. It was excellent. It was not big but the best fish dinner I have had. The breads they served were so good we could have filled up on those as well. Partner had the duck said it was wonderful. Service was very good and the atmosphere here is upscale enough to feel fancy but not feel out of place in Shorts! We had come into Epcot at 5:30 in the afternoon, on a very hot day, stupidly (we should have known better) expecting to get a quick bite at one of the counter service places and everything was a madhouse. We walked into Monsieur Paul and asked if there was any availability and with in 5:00 minutes we were upstairs in the cool and quiet dining room. It was perfect.

I love it. The food is delicious and the service is fantastic (they have a highly trained staff). It really exudes elegance more than any other EP restaurant. The entrance is nondescript and you are ushered up a spiraling staircase to the second floor of the France pavilion. The restaurant is quite subdued and is just a great, all-around, fine dining experience.

We had dinner there mid November of 2015. Incredible. We got a table by a window without asking. Amazing food and flawless service. Would not hesitate to go there again.

We had a fabulous experience at Monsieur Paul in the spring. Delicious food, excellent service, beautiful ambiance. I can't wait to return! If you go, be sure to enjoy the bread service and definitely order dessert!

The food there is amazing, I really want to go back. They have so many wonderful types of bread, I recommend getting each one to try all the different types.

Next question. Did anyone ever get the frogs legs? I lived in France for a bit while I studied in Bordeaux, but I never saw them on the menu.I feel like I should try them as the MOST archetypal french food ever, and, being on the DXDP is a good chance to try something I would be too scared to order otherwise... How were they?

Yes and noooo they don't really taste like chicken....whyyyyyyy they taste like frog's legs:teeth:.
To me the archetypal French dish is cassoulet BUT I realise a million Frenchmen (mostly in the north) might fight with me about that statement.
IMHO you should try MP's version of grenouilles. I prefer the dish with watercress yet acknowledge that it's getting hard to find and the parsley makes a fine substitute.

Thank you. Cassoulet is something I have had many times. But, right from a kid, when we start French in school, the things they tell you are specifically French are Cuisses de Grenouille, and Escargots. I cannot put escargots in my mouth, so, I have never tried them either. Which is a travesty for someone who has 15+ yrs of Study in French to their name!

I wuvvvvvvvv escargots and rarely think about them sliming the pathway, LOL!

OK.....I'll tell you my cassoulet joke.

The ex husband is French-Belgian and in an effort to make him comfy in this country I tackled the canons of French cuisine. When it came to cassoulet, it took 3 or 4 days to put the dish together. Finally, with several layers of toasted buttered breadcrumbs sunk in between, it's completed and I dish it out for him and the "Spaghettios" (that was one of our in house nicknames for the kiddos) and waited with bated breath for his thoughts.

Him:" Wow this is delicious".
Me: "Thank you."
Him: "This is better than my mom's".
Me: (now capable of blotting out the sun w/ pride):" Really!?"
Him: "Yes, she normally just opened up a can".
I, now eat quietly and properly deflated.
