This was a really great trip for us! I never thought that I could pull off a last minute trip to WDW, because I am a PLANNER. I usually have our trips booked nearly a year in advance, then make ps's as I am able to. Our days are normally pretty planned (although the plan is flexible!) We just kind of flew by the seat of our pants for the entire week!

So many things just fell into place for us on this trip. Getting the building we wanted at POR, getting an outside table at Tony's Town Square and seeing Spectro from there, getting a ps at LTT on the night of MVMCP. Just those things were things that I normally spend months agonizing over!

I also loved that we didn't do this trip commando style. We did still spend really long days in the parks; but I never felt like we were just rushing from one attraction/show to another. (with the exception of Sea World, because we had to rush in order to see all of the shows we wanted to see!)

Taking that day and spending it at our resort was also really great. This something that I will definitely try to work in to our future trips. The resorts at Disney are sooooo great, yet we never really take the time to fully enjoy them.

Thanks everyone for reading about our trip. If you have any questions, just ask. I'll do my best to answer them.

Your trip sounds simply magically! I don't know how you did it! I am such a planner also! But last minute sounds so fun.

How was DS when he was younger? I see you've been quiet a bit. This will be DD and I's first trip she's 2 1/2.

Again, LOVED reading your reports!

Thanks - I enjoyed all your reports...I can't believe you decided to go and left on the same day!

This makes me want to plan an early Dec. trip before our son enters school (he's 2 1/2 now). Sounds like a great time to go!

Our ds's first trip was when he was 2 1/2. For me, it was probably the best trip of all! He was just so awed by everything. He loved all of the rides that he could do. He also loved the characters! (At that age you can never be sure if they'll like them or be scared of them!) I'm so glad we took him early (by some of friends standards, anyway). He truly believed all that he saw was real. Even at 4 1/2 he's already started to question whether some of the characters are real or just people dressed up in costumes. All of our trips have been fun; but the first was really the best.

Also, early December is also our very favorite time to go. We love seeing the Christmas decorations while enjoying (typically) lighter crowds. We will try to continue to go at this time as long as ds can comfortably miss school!;)

Good luck with everyones trip planning!

Thanks for sharing you trip! Sounds like everyone had a great time. It's cool that you guys just up and decided to go and everything worked out.

Thanks so much for sharing! I can't believe how well the tip went for it being so unplanned! :) lol Yes, I'm a planner too! Sounds like you had a great time!
