What time do the Monorails start running? We have ADRs in the parks at 8am, and I'm hoping that the monorails start running before that. We are staying onsite at a Monorail resort - so if they don't start until 8, will we be denied our ADR?

The monorail will run at least an hour before the park opens. I only know this because we stayed at GF and had to be at MK by 8:30 and the park didn't open until 9:00.

So if we have an 8am ADR, would you think that we could get on a monorail at about 7:45am? The Park opens at 9.

Thank you!

Yes..they will be running. I arrived at the park at 8 am once, when it opened at 9. You should be fine...but it never hurts to call and double check.

That's a great idea, I never thought of that! Where can I call to check?

Maybe the resort front desks would know? We'll be at the Poly. Thanks. :goodvibes

Just came back from a great vacation!! And I know how you feel. We had ADR at CP for 8 AM and the park did not open until 9. The monorail that services the hotels is running early. We arrived at the park just after 7 am and were able to board no problem. Don't forget to see if you can ride up front with the driver.

Thanks for the info. Does anyone think that 7am is their start time?

Relax!
The resort monorails start running VERY EARLY.

Disney has been doing this a long time.
They make early ressies at the resorts and CRT at MK.
They allow for ways to get guests to them.

You will not be "stranded".

Yeah, I have visions of running all the way to MK (w/ The Chariots of Fire soundtrack in the background of course!).

Good, then I'll be on the platform at 7 - thanks :goodvibes

Monorail service from the Disney resorts starts at 7am daily. Might be earlier for days when the MK opens before 9am, but it definitely is 7am for regular operating hours.
If you happen to be staying at the Contemporary you can easily walk to the MK entrance in about seven minutes.

Thanks so much for the info - I'll be at the Poly, 7am leaves plenty of time to get there by 8. Excellent! :goodvibes
