I am booked for GF in sept. I heard monorail is going through refurb. is it on a modified schedule or completely down. is there any schedule from disney or is it a hit or miss type of situation.

IF the monorail does go completely down, buses will take the place, and run that loop on a "scheduled" time route.

The monorail is still - for some reason - listed on many refurb lists, although I don't know why (I'm sure Disney has their reasons). Monorail hours are pretty consistent these days, no major closures / downtime like there were a few years ago. Like the PP said, if they are down for mechanical reasons, other options will be provided.

I am booked at CR in September and have restaurant reservations and plans along the monorail line specifically for this reason. So disappointed if I have to take buses the whole time. Oh well

Why would you think you'd have to take buses for the whole time? As PP said, there are no known scheduled shutdowns at this time. The system sometimes shuts down for a couple of hours when there's a problem.

If you're at CR, it's about a 10 minute walk to MK. While MK is open until 1 hour after closing, you can get a boat from MK to the 2 other monorail resorts: GF & Poly. There are also boats from CR to WL & FtW. FYI, all of these boats cannot take unfolded strollers or wheelchairs, or ECV's.
