Doing a quick one day trip to Disneyland in less than 2 weeks before our Mexican Rivera Cruise. We will have our 12 month old and his stroller with us and are staying at DLH. Is the monorail the best way to get into the park? Since it drops at Tomorrowland, which is near Fanasyland (where we will spend most of our time), I thought it might be best. We don't have tickets yet. We were waiting to make sure the weather would be ok, since we only have one day. Can I buy tickets at the Monorail station? Can I buy tickets at DLH? Advice please!

You can't buy tickets at the Monorail station - not sure about DLH. Taking the Monorail would save you some time, but it's an easy 10-15 minute walk to the main gate otherwise. In order to take advantage of Magic Morning hours (Tu/Th/Sa/Su) you'd need to go to the main gate.

If you are checking in the day before I would go down to the ticket booths and get your tickets to save time and frustration the next morning. I would also just walk over to the park so I can queue up early.

Every time I've taken the Monorail into the park it has taken longer than just walking. It depends on how many monorails they have going at the same time but the line always seems to take a long time. It's a fun way to get into the park but to me, it doesn't save time. Also, i believe you have to fold up the stroller to take it on the monorail so I would rather just push the stroller than have to fold it up and deal with all the stuff stored in the bottom.

I'd walk, it's not that far. We rode the monorail for the 1st time last month and we were so bummed we did, felt like it took forever to get to the park, turning and turning and backtracking, we wished we would have walked. And unloading the stroller and folding it up isn't that fun either. If we would have walked we would have made it to park opening and would have been much faster.

I'd get your ticket the night before also.

Have fun!!!

We stayed at the DLH for 8 nights last year and we rode the monorail and walked to the entrance. I found the monorail to be faster if we were at the front of the line. There were a lot less people going through there than at the main entrance

I don't usually find the monorail faster for getting in, but when heading back it feels faster than doing the walk through DTD. The only hassle is folding up the stroller. Especially when you have a million things stashed in the bottom. So make sure you organize things in bags that are easy to grab and carry.
