If the park opens at 8 am, what time does the monorail from the Poly start running?

The resort monorail stops at the Magic Kingdom and the TTC also.

After you get on the Resort Monorail at the Polynesian it will go in this direction. Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom, Contemporary, TTC, Contemporary and back to the Polynesian.

The Epcot Monorail from the TTC will start at 7:00 AM if they are having AM Extra Magic Hour or 7:30 AM if they are having a regular 9:00 AM opening.

As for the Express Monorail from the TTC to the Magic Kingdom I think it starts an hour before the Magic Kingdom on regular park openings, however on AM Extra Magic Hour mornings it then starts at 9:00 AM.

I'm a Monorail Cast Member, here are the hours of operation:

Resort Monorail: 7am until 2 hours after the last park closes. This includes EMH (Extra Magic Hours). So let's say Hollywood Studios is open until 1am one day, the resort monorail will operate until about 2:45/3:00am.

Express Monorail: 8:30am until 1 hour after MK closes. This typically does not include EMH hours, because since EMH is for resort guests only, guests can take the resort monorail for Poly, Grand Flo, and Contemp, or busses in front of MK for all other resorts.

Epcot Monorail: 7:30am - 1.5 hours after MK closes.

Guests who drive over, or get a bus from a non Disney resort, who want to get to the Magic Kingdom before the express monorail opens, you can take the Resort Monorail. MK is the 3rd stop from the TTC (Transportation and Ticket Center).

So if I am staying at the Poly and have a 7:15 ressie at Chef Mickey's I will be able to catch the monorail to the contemp at 7am even though the MK opens at 9?
