Does anyone have their monorial set up under the christmas tree? If so did you have to buy additional tracks or did it work with the ones that come in the set?

Thanks!

We don't have ours up under the tree since we use either a G scale christmas train or the O scale Polar Express; however, the diameter of the monorail if you removed the straight tracks would be 49", which is about the size of a G scale train set or about 9" wider than an O-scale. That is plenty of room. In fact, for us, it is a little too large, as it exceeds the circumference of the tree skirt by a few inches. In any event, you do not need more track unless you live at Rockefeller Center or are making an elaborate set up.

You might be interested in the christmas tree ornament thread on the photography board, Groucho has a picture of his on there.

We have ours up under a pretty big artificial tree. I love it!!! But I could kick myself for not buying more of the accessories when we were there last time.

how do you get yours to sit nice? I have a regular train (its been disneyed, pooh is the conductor) set that goes up.

Ours just sits right outside the tree skirt. It's almost a perfect fit. The only problem is that we have to make sure that there are not presents blocking it, which can be tricky sometimes.

We always put ours under our r=tree in leiu of a train. It fiys fine. We have big trees too. Last year we had a 13' tree and plenty of room for our monorail.

I have mine up under my 4.5 ft tree. I think I used all, but two of the curved pieces.

We always set up two trees in our house. A large 9'-0" Traditional in the Living Room, and a small (maybe 4'-5') Disney Tree in the Family Room.
Under the Disney Tree we have the monorail (sans straight pieces), and the light up Disney Houses (Pooh's Tree House, Goofy's House, Mickey's House, Minnie's House, Cinderella's Castle, Train Station, Fire Station, and the Train). I think that all the light up pieces. All the decorations are Disney and of course Tink graces the top of the tree.

I took some photos, I will Link them later.

My goal is to have a Disney tree. I'm slowly getting there. I think the monorail under the tree would be really cute.

This year we don't but we did in previous years. The loop fits under a slim-line tree but would need additonal track for a larger diameter tree.

We have the monorail under our tree and didn't need any additional pieces. We have a 9' slimmer tree. Looks great!

OT - Where do I buy the monrail set? thanks!!!
