For those of you who can't get enough of the Monorail at WDW and have the toy model at home, here's a question.

I bought the switchstation to go between my two tracks, but I can not get the "resort" announcements to work. Is there some sort of trick to getting this thing to work, or did I just get a faulty one from Disney.

I figure if there is anywhere that someone would have the answer its here!

Any luck on finding an answer yet?

No luck sadly:( I will be at the Contemporary in a couple weeks, I may try to exchange it if I cant get it to work. Problem is I know they are in the process of discontinuing all the monorail items, and I bought the last switchstation they had on the floor..... I guess its not a big deal, just would have been nice for it to work right....

I only get my monorail stuff out at Christmas, but it seems like I had some difficulty getting it to work properly too. It's a shame they didn't put a little more quality into that collection.:earsboy:

I said the same thing about the quality... And then I was told by my wife it is a toy... Not a collectable. I still have a few in my collection.

Forgive my ignorance but what is this switch station? I have the monorail set and the older Contemporary and Spaceship Earth sets to go with it. I've had fantasies of building enough track to go all around the ceiling of my living room.

It is kinda the toy monrail's version of the TTC. it allows 2 tracks to come together and change tracks. I have the same set up you do, and I wanted to connect 2 monorails. Hop on ebay and search "monorail switchstation" some will come up, its easier to understand when you see it....

Please tell me they are not selling monorails anymore. I have a child going to finish his "Wish trip" over Christmas. He desperately wants the monorail, comtempory and switch station for Christmas. Iwas going to purchase it over Christmas....It is all he has asked f:headache: or. It will break his heart. Can I order this anywhere?

I didn't hear they where not selling these anymore....

The monorails disappeared for a little while, but last trip I was down there they were back and there were lots. One of the best places to look for the monorails and the pieces is now at Once Upon a Toy. They had the biggest selection when we were down there in April.

I think the monorail sets are there, but you won't find any more accessories(the resorts, attractions, etc.):earsboy:
