Monorail tour and Fireworks?

We aren't planning on visiting a park for christmas day but we still want magic. Someone suggested dinner at O'hana and then a monorail tour to take in all of the disney christmas at the resorts.

We like that idea but my question is how to work fireworks into that plan? Are there places to watch the fireworks along the monorail path? Or would it be possible (if not a little crazy) to enter MK just for the fireworks?

Do you mean we can see the fireworks from the Ticket center outside of MK?

I'm not against enterin MK just for the fireworks but is it necessary and/or doable?

Yes, you can see the fireworks from the TTC outside of MK. No it's not really necessary to go into MK for the fireworks, it is doable. Going inside just for the fireworks is a bit of a hassle though as the crowd is extra crowded and you would have to go in atleast an hour before the fireworks start or you'll just get stuck back by the train station watching anyway.


Also, What you're doing is our Christmas eve tradition and its wonderful. We try to time it so that we get to the MK monorail stop right before fireworks start and we watch from right outside the gates.

You can see the fireworks from any of the monorail resorts. From Poly, you can watch from the beach, but if they are restricting the main beach for Poly guests only, you can also watch from the outdoor patio at Trader Sam's, the railing at the marina and from the luau beach (though the music won't be piped in there). From GF, you can watch from the boat dock or the marina and from CR, you can watch from the 4th floor observation deck. If you would rather have dinner at a restaurant that has a dedicated MK fireworks viewing area, you can go to Narcoosee's or Cali Grill (at Cali Grill, you can also see the fireworks from EP and DHS).
