Do you have to take the monorail to get to Epcot? When visiting Magic Kingdom I saw The monorail that goes to it. And I understand that Epcot is a few miles away from magic kingdom so I would like to know what this is all about. Please reply asap because I am planning on going this tuesday with my 2 aunts my mom. Our group looks like :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsboy:
thank you everybody:)

Are you referring to walking instead of monorailing? No, you can't do that. You could probably take a series of busses, or a boat and a bus if you didn't want to take the monorail. And you can drive. I'm not really sure what your asking.... Hope I answered right.

I am asking do I have to take the monorail to get to Epcot and is the monorail actually on a several mile long track from Epcot to Magic Kingdom?

Yes the monorail is on a track between the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Its the most convenient way, but if for some reason you don't want to, just see the above post. Is there a reason why you don't want to take it?

There's also another monorail between the MK, the Polynesian, the Ticket and Transporation Center, the Contemporary Resort and the Grand Floridian.

Yes, there is a monorail between the MK (TTC) and Epcot. It is on an elevated track, the roundtrip loop is about 7 miles. it takes about 10 minutes to get to Epcot on the monorail.

No, you don't have to take the monorail. You could drive there.

Its probably the easiest and fastest way to get there though (no waiting for buses that might be packed, no parking and walking, etc). From MK you take the monorail to the transportation center where you transfer to the Epcot monorail. Try to get a ride up front because as you come to Epcot, you get a great view (you circle the park first before reaching the station).
