Monorail to Epcot?

I had no idea the monorail went to Epcot! We are going to Chef Mickey's on our departure day and had planned on taking the monorail round trip afterwards.

But I just read another post about the monorail also going to Epcot. Can I get this from the CR also, or from somewhere else? Anyone know how long the round trip from CR thru MK takes? How about through Epcot. Is the Epoct trip worthwhile, we will not be visiting Epcot on our trip (only going for 3 days) so it might be nice to do if you can actually see some stuff.

We ate at Chef Mickey's on our last trip in April. It was our MK day, so we took the monorail from MK to Chef Mickey's and back. Seems like it was 20 minutes one way.

I think you have to get on a different monorail to go to Epcot. I don't know how much of the park you would actually see.

Have a wonderful time. Chef Mickey's had a breakfast pizza that I really liked. It had pbj, chocolate and marshmellows. I'm pregnant and could use a slice now!!

My kids (6 & 3) LOVE the monorail. I don't even remember how many times we rode it around just for fun! I don't remember how long the resort loop took, but the trip from MK to Epcot took between 10-15 minutes. You CAN stay on the monorail and one way you go through Future World and can see a good section of Epcot.

If you were at the Contemporary, you'd take the resort monorail to the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC.) You'd then get off and walk across the platform to the Epcot monorail. (You may have to walk down a ramp and up another- I can't remember...) Anyway, it's pretty easy and your kids will love it!

you do get to see quite a bit! since you are not going this trip it's definately worth it!! ENJOY!!

When you change monorails at the TTC, you do need to walk down the exit ramp and back up to the EPCOT monorail. The express monorail is the "outer" loop and prevents you from walking across.
