We have a 7:30 Kona reservation and wanted to check out contemporary, and the Grand Floridian while we are there.

However for future information, how does one taying off property get to the MK for an 8am ADR to CP or BOG? I've always wanted to do that but wondered how the transportation part works.

I always thought it was an hour before park opening but last week we had a 810 breakfast at Ohana and were able to get on the monorail at the contemporary at 745am... and it was a 9am park opening day soooo I'd like to know the answer to your question as well!!

I am also curious. We will be driving to the park on our arrival day for a 8:15 ADR at BOG. I understand the park will let us in at 7:45, but not sure how we get from the parking lot to the MK gates unless monorail or ferry is running at that time. To be there at 7:45, we would need to be on the monorail / ferry by 7:30am. MK opens at 9am.

On most days, the Resort Monorail will be operating starting about 7:30AM.
(On some days, during maintenance, it may not roll until 8:30AM.)

The Resort Monorail makes stops at TTC and MK in addition to the monorail resorts.
Anyone can board the Resort Monorail.

During times that the monorail is closed for maintenance, there will be special buses that will cover the normal monorail routes.

Park at TTC and take the Resort Monorail to Magic Kingdom.

The Resort Monorail starts at 7:00 AM.

However the Resort Monorail has not been starting until 8:30 AM on Mondays and Tuesdays(except this week due to Easter week crowds) due to the automation project.
