So, a friend of mine has early reservations at Chef Mickeys and 1900 Park Faire. She received two separate voicemails a week before her trip from disney, telling her that the monorail service will not be running then, and she would need to get her own transportation to the resort. When pressed for some options, they told her she could take a cab???

Am I missing something? Why wouldnt the monorails be running, is it because her ressies are early?

Where is she staying? How early are her reservations? When will she be there?

The monorails are having maintenance performed for the next few months, so they're not operating as early as they used to through the summer. There have been numerous threads about this in the last few weeks.

She is staying at Wilderness Lodge, and will be heading there tomorrow. Her reservations are 8:00is for CM, and 8:30AMish for 1900PF.

So, she's not at monorail resort anyway. If I were her, I'd take the boat to the Contemporary for her Chef Mickey's reservation, and then the bus (or boat) to the MK and then the boat to the Grand Floridian for the 1900 PF reservation.

The monorail doesn't run from WL. It's resort route is CR/Poly/GF and of course there's the MK and Epcot runs too. What she'll need to do for CM is take the blue flag boat from WL to CR, and for 1900 PF a cab will probably be their best option.

I would skip all of the transfers and take a cab from WL. Spend a little and save some time.
