Can't quite remember....but is there a monorail that goes from MK to the Grand Floridian? Or do you have to do the loop around to get to GF? The maps that I'm finding don't quite make it clear to me. Thinking of planning an afternoon tea and considering transit times.
Thanks!

From the MK, you have to do the loop...Contemporary, TTC, Polynesian, Grand Floridian.

You can take a boat directly from the MK to the GF though.

Yes there is a monorail that goes to GF - The resort monorail beam that goes from MK -> CR -> TTC -> Poly -> GF and then back to MK.

If you're worried about time you'll want to take the resort launch from MK to GF - It'll be the first stop and is about a 5-10 minute trip. Then take the monorail back!

AS the PP said, you have to do the loop. Are you aware of the boat option? It will take you from Magic Kingdom directly to Grand Floridian.

Thank you all! Yeah, thought about the boat...guess that would be a quicker option, huh?

Not really. Sometimes you see the boat coming then it gets stuck waiting for the bigger WL boat to pull out. 2 weeks ago we opted for the boat because I saw it heading towards us from Poly. I also noted the resort monorail.... The wait was so long that the same colored monorail made the loop back to MK before we even went on the boat.

Going forward, we'll take the boat if it's docked or the resort monorail line is down the ramp.... otherwise the monorail is still faster.

i wouldn't bet that the monorail is faster...just like the boat got held up, the monorail sometimes gets held up...and that too at 3 different stops...which would result in the opposite where i've seen the boat loop before the monorail made it to the GF.

Luck of the draw

You also must factor in the much longer walking distance from the GF boat dock, if you are heading to one of the GF restaurants in the main building.
OTOH, if you are headed to Narcoossee's, the boat dock is very close to that restaurant.
