Monorail resort for lunch?

Hi

Having booked our ADRs a while ago we are now looking at some other restaurants for the other meals on our trip.

We are not great fans of the food at MK, I love a pretzel hot dog as much as the next guy, but cannot eat them for every meal. Maybe frozen bananas!!

Anyway on one of the days at MK, we are going to have lunch at Kona, at the Polynesian. And wondered if anyone could recomment another monorail resort to visit for lunch? We are on a bit of a budget, so cannot really run to the Contempary restaurants.

We had lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe once.
We enjoyed it and wasn't overly expensive

The Contempo Cafe (CS) at the Contemporary is nice for lunch - they do a range of different things including flatbreads & sandwiches

Grand Floridian Cafe was lovely for dinner last year, I'm sure lunch would be just a good and not terribly expensive either.

I think we may be tempted towards the grand floridian. This will be our last day so depending on budget will go for Gasp or Cafe?

On each of the restaurant links at the top of the page there's an information breakdown with other links such as reviews, it's worth checking those out to.

It also states reservation are suggested at the Grand Floridian Cafe whereas reservations are not accepted at Gasparilla Grill, which is a very small quick service restaurant but has seating outside.

Gasparilla and Games is a counter service, food quality is good. They have inside seating and patio seating.

We went to Gasparilla Grill and Games for lunch today. From MK took the boat across to GF, walked around to find mostly outdoor seating, no use as Karen has a bird phobia, looked inside and saw a few tables but all full, thought we would wait for a table then saw birds inside so we didn't stay long enough to find out what the food was like.
Considered going to Capt Cooks again but we only ate there a few days ago so we ended up driving to POFQ.

You need to decide if you want counter service or table service. We never eat TS for lunch.
If you want CS there are plenty of great options in MK, Columbia Harbor house one of our faves.
