DH and I are looking at the CR for the fall and we are discussing transportation to the parks since we don't rent a car. The subject of the TTC came up and how to get to Epcot. I have been to the TTC exactly once when I went from the CR to TTC to go to AK. However, can you walk from the TTC to Epcot or do you take another Monorail? I am not sure where the Monorail is at Epcot.

Also, does anyone know where I can get a map of the Monorail layout. I am very confused.

TIA! :hippie:

Hi!

From CR, you can take the monorail to MK or to Epcot - to get to Epcot, you have to switch monorails at the TTC.

The Epcot monorail loops around Future World but drops you off right at the front entrance to Epcot (you have to walk down a ramp to get to the turnstiles).

Also, to get from CR to MGM or AK, you don't need to go to the TTC for a bus. Buses will pick you up at CR! :)

You're welcome! We always go without a car and find the transportation system is pretty easy to use, as long as you leave plenty of time to get from one place to another. Have a great trip!

hi,
the monorail is very fun and easy to use. im stayin at the all star music in may. we normally take bus to ttc to catch monorail to Mk or epcot. resort should have a bus that goes to other parks. have fun!!!

As someone who has stayed at the Contemporary a lot of times, it's much faster to walk to the Magic Kingdom then taking the Monorail. You can walk there in 10 minutes or less & in my opinion it's a lot faster. When taking the Monorail you 1st stop at the TTC, Polynesian, Grand Floridian & then you are finally at the Magic Kingdom like 20 minutes later. Also it can take a bit longer because there is always the chance of the Monorail stopping on the tracks because there is another Monorail in front at the station it is going towards. So that takes up a little more time & I can tell you that is something which happens everyday with the Monorail comming from the Magic Kingdom Resorts.

I should also mention when leaving the Magic Kingdom the Contemporary is the next stop, so if your tried after a long day in the park it's great the Contemporary is the 1st stop.

yeah, but that really doesnt answer my monorail ques. me and my boyfriend r stayin at the allstar music and we r wonderin how long the monorail runs after evening extra magic hours???

The monorails normally run an hour after park closing. So if EMH is until 11pm, the monorail runs to a minimum of 12am.

On the other hand, the busses run until the park is declared empty of day guests.
