I can't seem to find a map of the monorail system so I'm hoping one of you experts can help me. After leaving Epcot around 6pm, I'd like to "ride" the monorail around and then get back to Pop Century. If I remember correctly, we can ride one monorail from Epcot to MK; then we'll have to switch and ride another to the TTC, and then catch a bus to POP. Is this correct? TIA!

The monorail goes from Epcot to TTC, then you would need to switch at TTC to get to MK.

Actually, you ride the monorail from Epcot to the TTC. To get to MK from Epcot, you have to transfer monorails at the TTC. I'm not an expert on the Disney bus system, so I'm not sure whether you will do better to go to MK or to TTC to catch a bus to Pop Century.

I'm pretty sure you can catch a bus directly from Epcot that stops at Pop Century, if that's all you're looking for.

Tim, who thinks all transportation should be like riding the monorail (although maybe a little faster!)

This is the route:

Board the monorail at Epcot
(there IS only one monorail at Epcot, it goes only to TTC.)

Ride to TTC.

Exit.

Walk over to MK monorail (lots of signs).

Ride to MK.

Exit.

Walk down ramp towards MK.

Keep walking PAST the MK entrance to the Resort Bus-Stops.

Pop Bus loading area on the FAR RIGHT side of the two walkways, and all the way to the END. (Check the signs).

You and a few thousand of your "closest friends" will be at that bus area if MK is near closing time.

So, can I get a bus from TTC to Pop? That would be fine. We just want to go for a little ride to end the evening. I really hope this won't be at closing time; if we leave Epcot around 6, I would think I could be back at POP by 7:30 or so? Monorail to TTC, then Bus to Pop? ( or do I have to go to MK to catch a bus?) :confused3 Thanks everyone! :sunny:

Please read my above post carefully.

There are NO RESORT BUSES at TTC.

The Epcot monorail only goes to TTC.

Then you take another monorail to MK.

The RESORT BUSES load ONLY near the front gate of MK.

Okay, I understand now. I just wasn't sure about the buses at TTC. Hmmm...I'll have to think about this. About how long do you think it would take to go from Epcot, to Mk and then to Pop via this route? (at 6ish in March..not EMH in either parks)

i could be missing something but why not just take the mono back to epcot and get the bus to pop there? it's closer to pop( epcot ) and gives you twice the ride on the mono. not sure it you'd have to exit and get back on, might depend on how busy it is ( don't recall ever trying it) i am guessing you just want to ride the mono( which we also always do) rather than having a destination in mind. i'd guess an hr-1 1/2 for the whole deal, depending on the wait times for all trans. but we love riding the mono so it would be worth it to me

That's a fine plan, too.

All depends on what kind of "experience" you're looking for.

I'd come from Epcot, get out at TTC, then:

Choose the RESORT Monorail and take a tour of the (who'd have guessed?) Monorail RESORTS:

Poly, Grand Floridian, and Contemporary.

If you stop at the Grand Floridian, you can take in the MAGNIFICENT atrium lobby, and just RELAX in the over-stuffed furniture.
Every late afternoon/evening there is live musical entertainment here.
A grand piano and/or a small "dance orchestra" play several "sets" as you take a brief time away from the theme-park RUSH.

The Poly has an interesting lobby, too, and everyone knows what the Contemp. lobby looks like as you PASS THRU... the resort monorail actually STOPS there.

Most guests staying at other resorts don't know how easy and fun it is to visit these "icons" of the WDW resort chain.

DUH! to me! I didn't even think about just going back to Epcot! Great idea! :thumbsup2

We'll be with a group, so I'm not sure if they'll want to hit all of the resorts, but it's an option. Thanks for all of the great info and wonderful ideas everyone!
