Monorail playset?

They did sell the GF at one time. Last year during our December trip I don't remember any of the hotels being offered. However, I did notice that there are listings on ebay for some of the items.

Your welcome! :goodvibes I'm sure you will all enjoy it. We do! I just have to tell my boys not to be rough with it! :scared1: Yeah right!! :rotfl:

It is HUGE. And it makes announcements just like the real monorail, so my boys get a kick out of that!

HUGE! YES IT IS! MORE LIKE SUPER HUGE. WE SET OURS UP AND IT TOOK UP HALF THE LIVING ROOM:lmao:

ANYBODY KNOW WHERE TO FIND SOME OF THE RESORT DISPLAYS AND PARK DISPLAYS?
WE HAVE THE CASTLE ONLY RIGHT NOW.

We've had ours for years! We set it up at Christmas to run around the tree! Its held up very well!

We also set ours up under the Christmas tree.

Our first set did not run....the lead monorail. So I saved it and took it back to WDW about 3 yrs later. The quickly swapped out for a new one, no questions asked.

The dilema I had was that the original one we had a the first stripped on made and the newer one was different.

We also have Epcot ball and Contemp resort.

Once set up it is huge and takes up alot of room around the tree.

I may order one for my son. He has the Walt Disney World RR and it's cute, but big. Smoke really comes out of the steam train. Can anyone post a picture of the monorail set so we can see the size of it? :)

anyone know what the price is on the additional pieces? also what is available. My ds was playing with his train the other day and asked if he could get the monorail. I just wanted to see what he could get in addition to the monorail. THanks!

Last year we had 2 Christmas trees...I had so many Disney ornaments that I made one of my trees a Disney tree! This year I think I will add the monorail under the tree. I'm sure I can take out some of the monorail pieces so it won't be so big (I guess?).

Anyone know if they see pieces at the WOD store in NYC? The Epcot Ball would be a great Christmas present for the kids.

We finally opened ours yesterday and it's the same as the pp..light green and very cute! Someone did tell me that it wasn't made that great and in the first 10 minutes we had to put the doors on a few times, put Mickey's legs back on, so they were right......oh well, he's happy :lovestruc and as long as we enjoy it's that's all that matters...but you would think for $70 it would be better made.:confused3 I have to say everytime I hear the announcements I feel like I"m there....it sounds sooo real!!! :) I'm thinking that we will add some pieces for his upcoming Birthday and Christmas too....can anyone recommend the best pieces for it for me to start with? Thanks!!:goodvibes

I'm glad your kids like it!! :goodvibes It was me that said it was not very sturdy for $70. But my kids like it too. So we just keep sticking the doors back on! :rotfl:

Have fun!

Yep, start with the Contemporary since it's still at the park and reasonable, then the Spaceship Earth would be a good choice, but not the one they are selling at the park now, it isn't interactive. Have to find it on the secondary market, one of the retired rides would be a fun addition (Dumbo is the most affordable)

We bought our monorail set last Nov. and had it shipped to our house. I had always wanted one, but was too cheap to buy it. But each year the price was going up, so last time it was time to just get it. I loved it around our tree and this year I plan to add to it. I'll be looking on ebay to see what I can find.

How much do these cost in the parks? I see them on Ebay, but don't want to overpay since I'm going down in June. I just thought it would one less bulky box to fly home with if I could get it online.

I think it was around $70 if I remember correctly.
