Monorail playset cost?

I've been searching the forums and can't find the information.

Is the motorized monorail playset available at any of the parks or Downtown Disney? If so, does anyone know the current price?

I believe it's a new blue train that comes with characters.

I saw some at The Emporium at MK and, to the best of my remembering, it was around $70 for the set.

Is this huge? Sounds like a fabulous Christmas gift for my grandson who is 8 and a Disneyphile like his grandma already! We will be there in 18 days...is this something that could fit in a large suitcase or would it be better shipped home (or ordered from WDW Shopping to begin with rather than messing with it in the parks at all?)

if you go to the primm out let mall off 535 in opopka and vineland road its $29.00 at the disney outlet store i saw it there in sept. this year were there 11 to 16 so they may still have some you can call them and ask i remember telling my wife i want get for me .......but nooooooo wwwwaaayyyyyyy

If it were a really big suitcase, then yes. But I would have it shipped home just for safe keeping. And I would think that Disney Merchandising would have it as well. As you may know, their telephone number is 1-407-363-6200.

We bought one of these for my son on our Aug. trip. I t was $70.00 and I had it shipped. It was way too big for a suitcase and I didn't want to check it on the plane. He loves it! The characters are cute, but very small and easy to lose (or vaccuum up). The set itself was worth the money.

I believe the shipping is about $10-15. That is why I purchase several items so I can send it all at once.

I agree that shipping is the way to go. I think it will be around $15 but I don't remember. It's worth every penny not to schlepp that thing on the plane.
