Monorail hours cut

I have never stayed onsite - so as a result would not claim to know much about the monorail or monorail resorts, but am I missing something obvious here??
Why, when leaving MK, would you have to get a bus to DTD to get to an ADR in CG :confused3
Surely once you leave MK there are buses that go to all the resorts without first having to take a detour to DTD - or is it not that simple?

I think she was using tht as an example. Its easy to walk from mk to CR but late at night with tired kiddies it is not a pleasent thought. However i presume a bus would be an option but they will probably have a shared bus for the monorail resorts:scared1: tht will be their next bombshell . Im going to hv to look at our ressies as hv ohana the wave and GFC booked. What a pain in the:cool2:

Reading again over all the comments in this thread, it looks like there are some who are under the impression that these guests will be stranded or severely inconvenienced in one way or another. Of course it will affect a certain number of guests, but nowhere near on the scale as what some of the responses indicate.

With all due respect, I have to wonder whether everyone who posts on threads like this opens and reads the link from the initial post, within which this one states

Exiting theme-park guests will instead be transported to their cars or hotels via buses or boats.

There have always been additional buses available from very early in the morning for those with breakfast ADRs. I expect that the same will be provided for those on the monorail route during periods when the monorail is not in operation.

when i've stayed at GH, i rarely took the monorail when i stayed until closing .......i always headed for the boat... it's a very pleasant ride out on the water late at night...kind of magical....

so i guess now the boat line will be longer....but it goes fast....and usually the guy running the line jokes around with the crowd waiting....

As far as shared buses are concerned, there will always be shared buses for your area resorts when demand is low. It is not new for the deluxe resorts to share buses during very quiet times of the day/late at night.

Not much a good sense of humour can't take care of :)

They will run additional boats and buses. This should not affect any of your dining on the monorail route as restaurants are not usually open that late. The only times it is going to be a problem is if you want to use the monorail back from a late (say 9 pm) ADR and MK closes at 8 pm.

this was my grievance, after having an evening ressie and a few drinks the monorail will then be closed, as I said I guess they will have other measures in place.
