If we do Epcot all day, take the mono to MK for Spectro and Wishes and then mono back to Epcot will we have time to see Illum? Also, is the crowd easier then parking at TTC and taking mono or boat after Wishes?

Probably not.

There is no monorail between MK & Epcot. You have to take monorail or boat to TTC, then change & take other monorail to Epcot.

When we saw Spectro & fireworks last month, all transportation out of MK was extremely busy after the show. We even waited 1/2 hour before leaving MK & the transportation was still busy. You may very well have to wait 1/2 hour or more before even getting on a monorail or boat to TTC.

Is to take the Ferry Boat (not the Launches to the nearby Resorts) to the TTC.

We stayed at the Poly a week or so ago (10/7-10/14) over Columbus Day/Media Week when the entire World was decently crowded and this is the tip we got from one of the transportation CM's.

Monorail's hold ~300 folks max and they are usually the first transportation choice most folks think of. (Disney => Monorail).

The Ferry runs almost as often (maybe 24 minute cycle time / 3 ferry boats => every 8 minutes?) as the monorail (maybe 15 minute cycle time / 3 trains => every 5 minutes?), but it holds twice as many people => 600 people at a time.

Bonus for us parents of sleeping toddlers is that there's never a need to fold up the stroller.

The Ferry Boat landing at the TTC is a very short walk to the Monorail to Epcot, or to the Polynesian(!!!).
