Monorail Expansion??

I was always curious when Disney built the Wilderness Lodge, why they didn't build the monorail out to that resort?

I hope they are serious about extending the monorail! I don't think it will eliminate the need for buses, but possibly offer more options for transportation between parks as the "world" get's bigger!

You're probably talking about one of the very old GMC's with a 2 stroke Detroit Diesel in it. Diesels never expel CO ( carbon momoxide ) so their exhaust was never harmfull so it was never really cared about. The black soot you see smells bad and is ugly, but is basically harmless. But particulate emissions do have other affects on the atmosphere so the EPA started geting involved and diesel engine manufacturers had to start cleaning up their act. But the new standards have no affect on old technology.

Some states have started implementing what is nicknamed a "smoke test" for particulate emissions. The test is flawed in that it is performed under a no-load condition. I'd be willing to bet that even "Puff" would pass this test because of the throttle delay mechanism plus the fact that the opacity standard is so low for the old engines.
