Monorail evacuation

Interesting that they are saying that lightning was not the cause. And what's up with this characterization of the teen?: Three times? That's a slow week for a lot of people who "basically live at Disney World". :rotfl:

I say you're just a tad JEALOUS! Heh heh. (Since it was "actually pretty cool," that is)

DM and I got stuck on the EPCOT line monorail for about 45 minutes once. Even in November, it gets HOT in there. I can't even imagine being stuck in that sauna in July along with feeling extremely trapped and claustrophobic, and then having the energy to climb out the hatch and down a huge flight of stairs. I would need to borrow some of that Valium and Xanax myself. :) On a funny note, when we were stuck there was no singing, and there were definitely no Mickey heads being drawn in condensation. Instead, a man wrote "HELP US!" on his window!!!

I can only imagine. I like the monorail until I get stuck on a trip with a child who needs a diaper change. (I have a very strong sense of smell and over active gag reflex. Ha.) as much as I love, love, LOVE babies, I would be in big trouble if stranded in a hot monorail with a child with a ripe diaper.

I'd be the first one out of that hatch...and I get queasy on Soarin. Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Was not in a location for tug use.

Love this shirt! My ex and I never stopped saying this when we were on our honeymoon.

It says free passes, not free admission to the parks, which is consistent with what a person who gave us a first hand report said about getting 21 fastpasses.

My first thought when I read "free passes" was that it was free fast passes, not park tickets!

As opposed to the ones that you pay for?? Maybe those people over on Trip Advisor are on to something.

OK, you got me, good point. You know what I mean, though! I just wonder if they can be pre-booked, are they only good for this trip, are you still limited to only holding 3 FP+ reservations at one time, etc… or can they just walk up to an attraction and use them, no restrictions, no questions? Now that'd be sweet, and they'd be "free" from complications!

The "free" FP+ are usually on a yellow sheet of paper with that person's name and how many guests are allowed admittance to the attraction with them. We received 10 on our last trip (because of a snafu in October) and Epcot was the only exception. They gave me legacy FPs that were good for any attraction, and on our second EP day they linked the FP to our account. No scheduling required.. we just showed up to whatever attraction(s) we wanted to use them for.
