monorail down, say it isnt so

We arrive at the Fort tomorrow and we are very excited. I read in another post that construction is being done on the monorail. Does anyone know about this?

I think it is only the resort line which is going to be affected.

1) They had the same downtime during DVC construction at GF.
2) The 11:0am-6:00pm is a precautionary schedule.
. . . some days it was even shutdown
. . . on most days, the actual downtime was only 2-3 hours

I would still go. If the monorail is down just walk from one location to another or take a boat. There is one that goes from the MK to the GF then to the Poly... To get from the MK area to the CR, just take a boat to the MK and walk up the walkway. Then you can take the boat from the CR to the Lodge or back to FW. Visiting the other resorts is half the fun of going to WDW...
