Mono-rail Drink athon

I had an email about this wonderful event and DH just asked me again when is the drink a thon. He has been training hard and is ready during our trip Sept. 23-Oct 2.

1) A monorail-drink-athon is a fun thing to do.
2) We have done it at least twice.
3) I think three times, but the memory is blurred.

NOTE: I know once, we were so much in the bag, they told me to drive the monorail. They said I was far to drunk to sing.

can i ask what it actually is (i have some idea, but don't know the rules and stuff), my friends and i are coming down during the beginning of f&w (drinking around the world), but adding another event to our schedule would be awesome (we're college seniors for a reason

what I heard once about it was every stop you get off and have a drink at the pool bar and get back on it

There are no hard and fast rules - just hop on the monorail and stop at each resort. The Polynesian, Grand Flo and Contemp have totally different themes and this is a great way to have a cocktail (or two, three ...) and explore all three. The bars are quite different as well. I always go inside - I don't spend too much time at the pool bars. Although sitting on the beach at the Polynesian with a tropical drink in your hand is pretty cool (especially if you can catch the evening water parade). We monorail resort hop every time we come to WDW. Super fun!

Sounds like fun. Can you sit on the beach at all 3 resorts and have a drink. That would be so relaxing at the end of the night, and romantic since I will be on my disneymoon the next time I'm there.
