Money saving trip.

If you do Las Vegas, a show that we found was very good, family friendly, and reasonably priced was the Mac King comedy/magic matinee at Harrah's.

You know you can think I am crazy, but since we don't gamble, we really try to not stay in hotels that have casino's. There are very few, but one that we do like is Hawthorne Suites. It is right by Belliagio and they have two rooms and hot breakfast in the morning. Along the strip if we do go into the casino's, it is for a purpose and then we leave. Smoke will give me a migraine faster than anything else.

...As we arrive in Vegas I could rent a car, stay a night or 2 in Vegas then drive the 270 miles or so to Disneyland and start our real vacation in California. ......(3.) Where should I rent a rent a car from and stay in Vegas?......

We are getting ready to do your trip in *Reverse* ;)

We're flying into LAX, doing DL & LA, then driving a rental car to fly out of Las Vegas.

So one thing I've noticed is that some car rental companies offer special low rates for people who want to drive INTO California. (Which, sadly, doesn't apply to us...)

I'm not sure if it's still available for Nevada, may just be for Arizona. But worth a try!

Also, you may want to order an Entertainment Book. They're 50% off right now and they have great coupons for car rentals.
