My son and his new wife will be honeymooning in Ireland for a week this summer. This week we go to buy some Euro's. Any ideas on how many they might want to take? They will charge what they can but I am sure they need some cash. They are going to drive themselves around if that makes a difference. I thinks Pubs are one thing on their list to do. Thank you to all who respond........

I would recommend they take around 600 euros, if they are travelling around a lot they may not get a chance to charge many things, a lot of smaller pubs and restaurants may not take credit cards for smaller amounts

As a family of four (2 teenaged children) we spent 700 euro on a 3 night break to France - so I guess a similar anount would be enough for 2 adults for a week in Ireland. We bought snacks and souvenirs and a couple of meals but used our credit card too.
