saving it, I mean.
Would you brave the crowds of July (including 4th July weekend) for a 30% saving in airfares?
As there is only one child in our group of five who is not classed as an adult, the total savings amount to over $NZ6000 on premium economy fares.
The alternative is to go during the next school holidays which would mean the discounted fare would be applicable to the outward fare only.
Taking the children out of school is no longer an option.
We will be able to stay more than a few days so wouldn't have to rush around trying to fit the rides and attractions into a short time.

Disneyland or Disneyworld? After the heat last week, and September is slightly cooler, you couldn't pay me to go to Disneyworld in July!

Maybe for Disneyland if you have a plan and could get up early, but the crowds would be thick.

We were going to go in July 2013 . But we have put it back to Sep/Oct13. This is in the hope of smaller crowds and more comfortable temperatures, particularly as we are planning to travel through Arizona, Las Vegas etc on the next trip.

Disneyland i would say definitely we were there in July last year and the longer opening hours were great we would get there early leave about lunch time-2pm go shopping or swimming or have a nap and then we would go back in the late afternoon and sometime after about 10 pm the crowds started to thin down and then we would stay till closing we got so much more done in those last few hours it was great.
Being able to save that much money and stay a few extra days would be worth it for us :)

OH and we are at WDW in Sept last year and it was HOT!!! Can't imagine July. I've read on many threads here on the Dis that being at WDW in July is like walking on the surface of the sun :rotfl2:

Why not just go economy rather than premium economy Surely that would save thousands????

Yes, it would, but after a number of years I remembered that nowhere in our marriage vows did I agree to sit in economy with a husband who fusses and fidgets for the whole flight because he can't get comfortable.

We are shifting our holiday before the Disney cruise around to take advantage of the same offer. We can only afford economy tho and that's a saving of over $2.5k even then. Is it possible you sit in Premium and the rest sit elsewhere, or put hubby on the other side of the aisle from you in standard economy?

(Personally I'd put my husband and kids in economy and sit in the loos all the way for some 'me' time - I always get lumbered in between the kids on a three seat every time we fly to Aussie with hubby going 'I'd do it if you wanted me to do so' (Yeah Right - he gets to eat, watch all the films and sleep while I entertain and feed the kids). Going to LAX we are going cattle class in the middle four seats and hubby WILL sit on one end and I will sit on the other.:rotfl2:
