So Sparky, were are you leading the riddle today ?

Goog morning! I am in!
For the record: I couldn't even tell which arm was the long one on every star!
But I did figure out that Sparky and Scouser were married as soon as he joined the thread.

Mornin' All!
For the record, I DID get Friday's riddle (for once that darn Airport Engineering class PAID OFF!!)
And I got this one too!!!![]()
Sparky said she was leading us to Asda??? Don't know where that's at, but do they have chocolate?
I'm guessing it's a hop, skip and a jump from Gloucestershire.Sparky said she was leading us to Asda??? Don't know where that's at, but do they have chocolate?

OK, this has been on my mind for a while. Anyone from the UK can answer this question. I know we have some odd town names here in the USA, and I hate the fact that almost every state has the same names-Lincoln, Washington, Springfield, ect so it would be nice to have a little originality in our names...
But I've seen maps of the UK. Is your beer REALLY that strong, or was there some overwhelming fear of running out of names? What is the history behind these things?
Sorry- I know you struggling with the man-flu. Much different from when a gal gets the sniffles.![]()
My comment had a change in subject.
Line 1: I explained why I couldn't do Friday's riddle.
Line 2: I reveal that I figured you were a "friend" of Sparky's as soon as you joined.
So while I can't do visual perception/geometry/arithmetic riddles, I am perceptive (sometimes).
I'm talking about the names of the cities in the UK.Beer can be anything from 3.5% ABV to 5.5 / 6.0 %ABV
Confused by the names jumping to the beer link.
I'm guessing the names thing is to do with the founding fathers being mostly Brits - especially on the east coast
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantysiliogogogoch is The church of St. Mary in the hollow of white hazel trees near the rapid whirlpool by St. Tysilio's of the red cave. That was going to be my second guess.
Imagine trying to order a cab there if you are drunk
Nah, English cabbies are great. You just hop in and say "Uh, it's the white house on the corner, right next to the big tree", and the cabbie replies "right then, off we go".

Maybe it's just me...no, I'm pretty confident it's just me...but if I ever get my hands on a time machine, I think I'll swing by that town and one night when they're sleeping, right after they put up their fancy new town sign, I'll cut down their hollow of white hazel trees. And then just spray paint "You've been punked" on the side of the cave. It might take them a few hundred years to figure it out...
