Monarch direct flights August £824

I've been searching for direct flights in August under £1000 for (literally) months and today looked at the Monarch website which has loads from £824 pp. These don't show up on Kayak etc. Is this too good to be true?

Well let's face it at £824 it's hardly a bargain for one of the more cut-price Charter companies. It's worth checking if that includes everything (ie bags, food etc.).

I know it's all about supply and demand during the leak summer hol period but that's a flight that you can get for half that normally. Crazy crazy prices!

Edit-don't know how restricted you are n dates but I've just found Thomas Cook 23/8-6/9 Gatwick to Sandford for £623 pp flythomascook.com

Thank you for the Thomas Cook info - I'll check it out.
I find it amazing that they say the huge increase is due to "Green Air Tax" and yet if you go outside school holidays the price drops by as much as £800 pp (Virgin) - or am I just being cynical???

If you're prepared to go indirect then Delta have a flight (one stop) Heathrow to Orlando Intl 20/8 - 3/9 for £610 - I'm pretty sure that includes baggage and the stopover is only a couple of hours.

Thank you again. My hubby's a teacher so we need to be back by the end of August but I'll keep looking.
You really have to be savvy, don't you? For example Thomas Cook charge £30 per person per flight so that's an extra £120 straight off - and no meals included (but that's no great loss!!)

Also if you don't mind indirect, we just booked this week for 19th August - 1st Sep to Tampa from Manchester indirect for £500 each via orbitz.com. Paid in dollars but perfectly legit and same flight as BA offer on code share for £980 cheeky so-and-so's
